A fantastic dining experience in a stunning setting. The main dining room is nothing short of breath taking to say the least. Now on to the food, to start grab the canapés (caviar, foie gras and the grilled cheese one to be exact) along with the carpaccio (best I’ve had in Dallas) and crab cakes.

Each small bite we ordered was a culinary masterpiece, from the tastefully prepared Crab Cake to the succulent Lamb Wellington. The Banana Dessert was a delightful finish, rounding off the evening with its delectable flavors.

I had high expectations and was not let down. Let me start by saying that the gentleman at Duro Hospitality continue to outdo themselves. They rarely miss the mark and they are getting bolder and more creative with each new restaurant. Mister Charles is new to the scene but definitely one of the best places in town. As a foodie, it makes me excited to be in Dallas.

Fun and very Dallas crowd, but the food wasn’t any good. So much salt in the carpaccio and duck pasta. The foie canapé was very light on the foie and basically an awkward tiny cookie with jam. The baked Alaska was terrible. Same for the cauliflower. Such a limited menu, and it was all pretty bad (except for the very expensive A5 strip loin bite).

Mister Charles is a very enjoyable dining experience in a beautiful setting that reminds me of dining in Paris. Every dish was amazing. We had the Blue Fin Crudo, Beef Carpaccio, Uni Shells Carbonara, and the Scallops – all wonderfully prepared. To finish, the banana pudding was delicious.

I’ll be honest, I almost always leave a review- good or bad. This place is so good. I mean the food, atmosphere, service- everything was great. I am always trying new restaurants and I am more than most, never impressed as I should be for the prices here in Dallas but I was very pleasantly surprised by Mister Charles. Also shoutout to our amazing server, Alex C. Will definitely be asking for her the next time I come in!
