We serve delicious South Shore Bar Style pizza, made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Most of our pizzas have caramelized edges, aka laced or burnt edges. This phenomenon occur because the sauce and cheese go all the way to the edge of the crust and caramelize against the edge of the pan while cooking. If you prefer a more traditional crust, just say non-laced edges and we’ve got you covered. Part of our mission is to give back to the community in the form of free pizzas and/or monetary donations to groups that help folks in need. Come on in or give us a call. After living in New York and various spots in the Midwest, I loved the great tacos down here but missed good pizza. Until I found mission pizza a year ago. Hands down the best around. Love the Boston bar style. The crispy edges like detroit style but thin and doesn’t eat super heavy. Love the basic pizzas and the fancy pizzas. Steve the owner is super nice and passionate. Highly recommend!! Worth the trip up to Denton if you’re not local. Luckily I live very close to here!! Pepperoni with hot honey; and fig and pig are two of my favs!

If ever there was a reason to support a smaller business, it would be for Mission Pizza! On my second visit to this pizza joint located inside Herf’s bar, I had the opportunity to meet the owner. His passion for satisfied customers is as intense as his pride for the incredible flavors he sells. They make the most interesting flavor profiles I have ever had in a pizza. Things you might not think will taste good, are crazy good! You need to bring friends so you can order multiple pizzas and try them all. The fig and pig has a sweet and spicy, salty and tangy flavor that your pallet will crave for from the first bite. The BBQ Brisket pizza is tangy and bold with a great BBQ brisket layered all over the pizza. Another completely unique thing is the crust. There is no dough as the crust. Just caramelized cheesy edges that add a whole other level of explosive flavor. These pizzas dont taste like any other pizza youve had, and that is a very good thing! The owner is awesome. His recipes are superb. Walk in, go up to the bar and order away. Then sit down or order take out and a short wait later, your life as you know it will change forever. How lucky are we in Denton to have this place in our town? If you want to have a successful restaurant, do exactly what this owner does. Now, go get this pizza.

I was excited to take my girlfriend (who was visiting from Germany) to supposedly one of the best pizza spots in Denton. Well, we were both disappointed as there was absolutely nothing special about the $40 of pizza we bought. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but I’ve had better made at home pizzas. They were also out of Feta cheese for my gf’s order, and Thursday night is open mic night at Herf’s and it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. This was a very disappointing experience from beginning to end.

I’ve been following Mission Pizza for a while and finally tried their pizza for the first time today. The Triple P I got was both beautiful and delicious! Love the flavor combo. The sauce and cheese were delicious and the crust and caramelized edges gave this pizza such a unique twist you can’t find anywhere else around here. I’ll definitely be back for more in the future.

We LOVE Mission Pizza! It is my two year olds absolute favorite, and he loves seeing the staff. Last time we went he asked for his pizza man (thats what he calls Steve, the cofounder). I’ve been lusting over this pizza way too long. Finally made the plunge tonight and ordered the Fig and Pig. Taste way better than I imagined. Perfect combination of sweet and spicy! Probably could share this with a friend, not tonight, maybe next time. Until we meet again.

Literally best pizza in town! I love coming here with friends, or even just me and my boyfriend. Delicious flavor, edges done just to perfection. We had Margherita, Pepperoni, Fig and pig pizzas and their garlic cheese sticks. If you don’t like their food you got some serious issues!
