I had a job on Susquehanna and Hope and noticed how much foot traffic the Ming River Chinese store brings in. This place had 3-5 customer every 5 minutes. I know a good Chinese restaurant when I see one. This is one! First you have to order your food over the phone. I ordered shrimp and broccoli with fried rice and vegetables. The food was really good. The sauce for the food wasn’t enough to mix into my rice equally, the rice wasn’t fried at all, it was just yellow rice. All in all I’ll definitely come back here to give another meal a try.

Ordered a combination platter with shrimp lo mein came with pork fried rice and an egg roll, I added a side of fried plantains and an order of popcorn chicken. Food was amazing, my favorite was the popcorn chicken im obsessed with the way it is cooked. A must try!!

I ordered through grub hub and half the order was missing. And when I tried to eat the food I did receive it was very poorly prepared and sub par. The fried rice is terrible no flavor and The chicken is very strange. The Sesame chicken was tolerable but mostly breading. And I can’t comment on the rest of the food since it was not given to me. Over all very dissatisfied.

Three stars for atmosphere. While scrolling G-Maps, I noticed a drawing on the roof a building. Zooming in revealed a large doodle of a girl in a purple dress. Wonderful way to beautify the space!

Take it from an actual Asian person that this is the best Chinese-American takeout spot in the neighborhood, if not the whole city! This has been my regular go-to spot for years now. Their cooking methods and flavor profiles are actually decently authentic (though General Tso’s will never be “authentic”) for your run-of-the-mill takeout place. While the food is not going to be like the restaurants in Chinatown, it comes close enough. Plus I love that I can get mozzarella sticks alongside my favorite tofu dish.

Prep and delivery was super fast. Food came hot. The general tso platter was really good. The egg drop soup didnt have any flavor at all, but that’s ok because it was all really affordable. My advice to the kitchen would be to add some flavor to that soup. Overall, great experience. They also forgot the fortune cookie and now I have bad luck. But it’s forgivable.

Ordered the lemon crispy chicken and a ginger ale. The chicken came soggy not crispy at all and it was dipped in a bland lemon sauce that barely tasted like anything. They delivered a green tea ginger ale (I ordered a regular ginger ale) I’ve had green tea ginger ale before and hate the taste. The restaurant did not even attempt to call to see if it was okay to substitute the ginger ale. I would not recommend ordering from here.

Food was disgusting. I was starving and high and couldn’t eat it. We had Wonton Soup, the broth was water and the Wonton/meat ratio was shameful. When i called to ask for money back she said this is how the food is made and people eat it. Don’t order from here.

The location is not the best but the food is worth every penny. I’m so happy with every order I have placed with them. If you can get food from them on grubhub…do it.
