Food was really good. Service was mediocre. Our server disappeared for awhile and it took a really long time to get our bill. We weren’t offered refills until after we had finished eating. I guess when the gratuity is automatically added, service can be lacking.

Bartender is a bit cocky, once he discovers your not a member, he takes his time making your drink and then it’s not exactly what you wanted. Staff stands around talking, (we were the only ones in the restaurant, it took them over ten minutes to come over and give us a menu. The last 3 times I’ve had a late lunch there, I’ve become sick. Only went there for the convenience of the restaurant. Willing to drive into town to a friendly, locals restaurant with great food, it’ll be worth the 25 minute drive.

The bacon was overcooked, and the burger presentation was sloppy. The burger patties were overcooked and dry. If you fo end up with two patties, ask for each patty to get cheese on it. The layering of the lettuce, tomato, onion, and the thousand island dressing was off. Who puts the dressing on the LTO and not on the bun?

We rented an Airbnb in the area and this quickly became one of our favorite dinner spots. Alexa always took great care of us and everything we ate was excellent. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already.

We booked a condo at Tamarron for a week long stay in Durango. Mineshaft is one of two restaurants on property. We debated ordering Mineshaft for dinner. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth it for our family of 5 to eat here after reading reviews about poor food and because they automatically will charge you 20% gratuity, even on takeout orders. I understand they have alot of competition but for a family of 5 to eat dinner, we’d be spending $100 anyways with the inflated prices, not to mention sub-par food anyways. An extra $20+ tip doesn’t seem like a good service to the customers willing to order takeout to support the resort restaurants. We chose to eat at James Ranch Grill instead, 5 mins away and no forced gratuities on already highly inflated prices for underrated food. Avoid this place and support local establishments more customer centered!

We ordered the Burnt ends Pork Belly appetizer, BBQ ribs and chicken sandwich. The food was really delicious. The drinks were really good. The only downside is that we weren’t allowed to add our own tip, it was added for us. We weren’t sure if that is how they do it or they didn’t trust us to leave a good tip. Other than that we had a great dining experience and enjoyed having our dinner on their beautiful patio.
