Ordered malai chicken tikka and seekh Kabab with rice. It was a take away. Had to throw away all of Malai Chicken Tikka, as the chicken tasted very stale, was smelling bad and did not even have any seasoning (Zero salt).

I’ve been shopping there for years. The small farm Halal chicken is 10 times more flavorful than what you can buy in the supermarket. The owners and butchers provide great customer service and the kebabs from the takeout counter are great. I’m proud to support hard-working immigrant business owners and small businesses in Jersey City.

Visit this place for quick non-vegeterian bites. The food is delicious and spicy. Best bet for starters during parties, however the food gets sold really quick. Parking is a pain, you would need to scoop the entire street for atleast 15 mins during rush hours. This place also sells halaal meat. Carry cash if you have less stuff to buy as they dont accept cards if the minimum is less than $10.

Nice people, decent clean location, but bad food. Whoever wrote good reviews for this place, you guys need to check your taste buds, go down to Central Jrz and eat at Shalimar, if you don’t find a difference, then I don’t know what to tell ya. It seems JC (as close it is to NYC) it should have better tasting Pakistani restaurants, that’s usually the general rule, close to the city, better foods. But in this case Central Jrz is King, Pakistani and Afghani restaurants in C.Jrz are 10 times better there.
