We have been going regularly to Mimi’s over the years. Most recently the three of us in our party had one fish and chips and two omelets with one coke. Service wasn’t terrible, but not good either (like it used to be). The total was $48 before tip. The food is good but the credit card fees, service charges, etc. feel sneaky. There are better options at this price point so it will be a while before I go back.

I’ve been there a number of times. I leave a 20% tip when I stay but don’t tip when I get take out. This must have bothered the person doing checkout because she waited on people behind me in line before me and had me wait over 30 minutes for my order. She said it wasn’t ready but it was phoned in ahead of time and should have been done. When I mentioned I wasn’t going to tip her reply was, “ You don’t anyways”. I have not eaten there since.

My husband and I went there. The waitresses were a lot of fun. They were very friendly and knew the menu well. I had the best bread pudding I have ever had. My husband had the perch and thought it was the best. Will for sure go again.

Mimi’s diner is very poorly ran. The host, owner, and servers were not friendly at all. Everyone is constantly yelling on where to seat people, when food is ready, and when tables need to be cleaned, very unprofessional and hard to enjoy the meal you’re paying for when the staff are yelling across the restaurant constantly.

We’ve been going to Mimi’s several times each summer since buying a cottage nearby in 2012. We have never had a less-than-delicious breakfast or lunch. At age 70, I’ve had hundred of meals of corned beef hash. Mimi’s is as good as it gets at a restaurant, made in-house. The corned beef sandwich is my wife’s favorite…at least 2 meals since it’s so big. Save room for the bread pudding!

We had an awful experience at every establishment we dined on our weekend trip to Michigan, OTHER THAN Mimi’s diner. It was packed on a Saturday morning, but service was amazing and food was out quickly and tasted delicious. If we’re in the area again we will definitely be back.

Food was great. Loved the atmosphere. Was having an enjoyable breakfast before a rather rude woman shoved a carryout box in my face without speaking to me, rolled her eyes continuously while taking a phone order then told my waitress I was waiting for my bill. Which yes and no. Yes I was done, but no I wasn’t in a hurry. Still had a whole cup of coffee! There wasn’t a line so people weren’t waiting, and I was alone so a single person doesn’t take up too much space at the bar… was very odd!

The waitress told us that the M to F special were a dollar more on the weekend. However, when I went to pay she told me ‘this is how the register charges it.’ I reminded her and showed her the menu that we had pointed to when ordering. She was extremely patronizing and loud when I asked her to review receipt. We will NEVER go there again. Plus, food was overcooked. (Total Price for 2 breakfast specials, one blt, one kids breakfast)
