We love visiting small, local diners when we’re traveling and had high hopes for Mikey’s based on the reviews. We dropped in for breakfast on a Thursday and it was empty except for an elderly man wandering around who couldn’t find his car keys. My husband and I ordered a basic egg breakfast with potatoes, bacon and toast. There was absolutely no seasoning on any of the food, but at least they supplied a bottle of Tabasco on the table. The food wasn’t terrible, it was just bland. The coffee, on the other hand, was just awful, basically hot brown water for $3 a cup. The decor needs updating badly, it’s like stepping back into the 70’s to a place where your gramma used to like to go for Sunday lunch. The ladies room is used as a storage closet for 2 gallon buckets of something marked ‘caustic’. Now, the service was great and the folks were very friendly and attentive, always coming by with more of that coffee. The menu had lots of choices but I was intrigued by the dinner specials of the day, lots of down home items like liver and onions, and fish on Friday (of course). This restaurant did appear very clean, the carpet was vacuumed and the tables were bused and wiped down. It feels very much like an old neighborhood favorite, Mikey’s just really needs an updated dining room and restrooms and more thoughtful storage for chemicals other than around and in the restrooms.

Breaks my heart to be honest, but i wouldn’t come back here if you payedme.. Save your money and try another breakfast spot. I have to be honest the food looks delicious but it doesn’t taste great. Seasoning can go a long way when you use it. I would save my $80 and go to our original spot. On the other hand I would definitely come back just for the orange juice and the coffee….

We loved this restaurant. Very cozy and warm atmosphere to sit down and relax and enjoy a great meal. Hot fresh food and friendly staff. You can clearly see that they have regular customers who come here and the proof is in the food. Breakfast all day is always a plus in my eyes and they have some great choices across the board. I’d recommend stopping in here and giving them a try.

The service was excellent. The food wasn’t hot and it was pretty blah and tasteless. The coffee was just hot water. The only exception was the hot french fries and the pretty good gravy on the pork tenderloin. It wasn’t bad food, it just isn’t anything I’d go back for.

Absolute hidden gem! I’m an out of towner but I love diners. Very casual, neighborhood place. Lots of choices on the menu, service was friendly and excellent. Food was delicious! Omelette was packed with meat and cheese. Sausage patties were delicious and chili was really good. Love places like this! Oh and I asked them to cook in butter instead of vegetable oil and they were cool about it. Thanks! Will definitely return next time I’m in the area!

I had heard about this place and was looking forward to check it out. We went for breakfast. My waffle was fluffy. My friend had an omelette and biscuits and gravy. He wasn’t impressed with either of the dishes. The service was friendly and fast. They had steady customers coming and going. It was very clean.

The food was so good. Going to mom and pop shops is better than any chain restaurant. The outside made us question it, but the food makes up for it. Don’t judge a book by its cover! We got breakfast around 9:30 and it wasn’t packed at all. Just a couple of gentlemen enjoying their morning breakfast. Was fairly priced. Food was made in a reasonable time and not under cooked or over cooked. Would recommend.

Found this place by accident. Glad we did “The Works” omelet was amazing. And my wife loved her French toast. Will definitely stop by again.

I went here with my Grandmother. The food was terrible. The service was even worse. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was the worst I have ever had. The gravy was very thick and did not taste good. I got a cup of coffee before the food came, but by the time my food arrived I had drank all the coffee. The waitress never refilled it when I was eating. When I was done eating and had paid the check she came over and refilled my coffee. My grandmother got the Spanish egg omelette and she said that too was terrible and tasted like old grease. The waitress gave me the check shortly after she brought the food, but didn’t refill my coffee even though she said she would. I had to wait several minutes to pay as the waitress was nowhere to be found. 30$ for the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. We will not be returning and I recommend that you do not eat here.

Food was decent, my husband liked my food more than his, priced kind of like most restaurants these days when you go out to eat. It is very small and homey, but it reminds of of a lot of hole-in-the-wall diners I grew up going to. My brother in law says he recommends the biscuits and gravy!
