We’ve been here a few times for lunch & it was pretty fair. Service was minimal but food was alright. We went for breakfast this morning & I’ve never been so upset. I paid $1.55 for flat nasty Pepsi, which she replaced with a Dr. Pepper for me which was just as bad. I ordered a Breakfast Bread Bowl – horrible mistake. I don’t know who’s idea that was but it was a bad one. You get a huge chewy roll with a little hole cut in the middle, filled with a handful of country potatoes, undercooked scrambled eggs, bacon & smothered in gravy. I ate maybe 5 bites, took the rest home to my dogs. The potatoes were good, as was the gravy, but everything else turned my stomach. I don’t understand what happened, this place used to be good! The restaurant was full, so how can it be that we got the only crappy drinks & food in the whole place? We will not be returning.

Every time we come to Colorado for a visit from our home in St. Louis we always go to Michelles. She is so sweet. Great coffee and even better green chili. You won’t be disappointed. A must for down home breakfast. Thanks Michelle. See you again soon.

Glad I finally brought my family here. Being new to the area I was reluctant for a while because of the past negative reviews. We come here at least once a week now and its become our favorite breakfast place. Seriously people, if you like coming here, add a positive review. Too many negative people in this world.

Michelle owns this restaurant. And she’s the server most of the time so you will get excellent service and excellent food a little Hometown restaurant, off the highway 115 she has wonderful green chili and a very older style decor with a fireplace in the winter open for breakfast and lunch only. If you get in the Penrose 115 Highway 50 area stop by and get a bite from Michelle you won’t regret it

Typical small town diner. Inexpensive. Not the best service, not the best food… but probably not the absolute worst either. Coffee is pretty terrible, but I still drink it. I choose Coyote Cafe over Michelle’s, most of the time.
