This place was so packed we couldn’t even find a parking spot, had to go across the street and Park and then walk all the way back only to find out that the wait was nearly 2 hours; it was already 6:30. There were no available reservations either.

We have been to Michael’s twice in the last few months and both times were wonderful experiences! Our server, Tim, was one of the best servers I have ever had. Gay Michael, owner and chef, has come out and talked to us each time thanking us for being there. Be sure to order the filet or veal!

Made reservations for dinner on a Thursday evening. This was not needed. Not a full house by any means. Our waiter seemed a bit short with us prehaps he was waiting on all tables. We wanted the Kendall Jackson Chardonnay but they were out. Asked for a recommendation for a comparable wine. Hmm ..seemed not to knowledgeable on wines. Had to ask him to ask bartender to offer a suggestion. Veal piccata was superb but the marinara sauce was not even jar grade.

Service was fine, no complaints there. They even had some local musicians playing while we were eating. The food, however, was not at all worth the hefty price tag. Almost 30 bucks for rice, peppers, and onions with a few pieces of the strangest-tasting beef I’ve ever had. The vegetable/beef soup that came with it was pretty good, but that didn’t redeem the main course. Best I can say is ‘meh’ for the food.

Whenever I am home visiting family I stop by Michael’s every morning for coffee. They take great care here to create a ‘coffee house’ type atmosphere and the baristas are really top notch. What I especially appreciate is that they make an effort to bring in a local flair, such as locally produced snacks and community advertisements.

We frequent this establishment on a somewhat regular basis on Wednesday nights for the weekly Corvette club get together. Our server this time was Susie, and she did a great job. We ordered the 2 for 50.00 dinner special my steak was pretty decent albeit a little too done for medium rare and had a couple places of heavy scorch. French fries were served cold and tasted like the grease was almost rancid. The shared appetizer, my mates salad and dessert were all just o.k., my soup was terribly salty. My mates spaghetti and meatballs were terrible. The noodles were dried out and crunchy, the sauce was nothing special with meatballs that had a freezer burnt taste to them.

First time there. Spacious and clean. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our party (9) had steaks and pastas with salads. We had alcoholic drinks. Drinks are unusual and very good. Our server Dan was excellent. He was efficient and checked on us regularly. Nice size servings. Alfredo sauce was different. On the sweet side. Those who had it didn’t really care for it. Steaks, salads and chocolate cake were good. Loved the icing. We’d return for lunch sometime. Worth a try.
