Translated from Spanish as my dream, Mi Sueno Cafe is a small eatery with a couple of seats but mostly takeout located off a busy Market Street in Saddle Brook. Parking can be an issue, depending on the time of day. Luckily, not today, as I found parking right in front. The menu specializes in Dominican cuisine but has other Spanish dishes ranging from empanadas to rabo guisado, tostones, and cakes. I decided on their lunch special consisting of chivo guisado (Dominican braised goat) with white rice, red beans, and a small salad for takeout. The food was still hot, and the goat flavor was amazing—earthy and intense with a kick and just plain old lip-smacking delicious. However, the rice and beans didn’t have any taste. If you are in the area, give this place a try.

I will NEVER go there again!! First of all not only did they raise their prices the portions got smaller! Went today and asked them were the meatballs beef or chicken! I was told beef 2 times! I get to work and it’s the frozen meatballs, I called them right away and the lady was so nasty and Rude! Don’t wast your money or time with this dump!!!!!

I went there last Thurs, I ordered three cuban sandwiches. I waited to be attended, the owner looked at me like if I owed her money and said attend the lady first! The service lady attended me because I had ordered already meanwhile the lady was still ordrering….was I supposed to wait 20 more min untill she finished. The owner needs more customer service skills. I went back to work and my friends been there and they told me about the same experience…

Stopped in pick up dinner. Mofongo awesome especially the sauce . The Pernil was very good considering I was most likely the last customer of the night. Everyone everywhere please eat here. As a Bori this reminded me of my Abuela Titi . Hey world eat Latin food at least once a week, it’s way more than rice and beans.

Terrible salty, sloppy food. I bought a chicken soup and the saltiness could raise your blood pressure to the roof. Also, black beans, rice and meatballs and it was also salty and the Meatballs when i cut them were not all the way cook and the taste of old meat was horrible. Mi sueño ( My Dream in English) is more of a nightmare.

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! EVER!!!! It says that they close at 7:45pm on Friday’s, I got there at 5:30 pm the door was locked, the girl in the front is sitting down playing with her nails next to all the food that is still out as if they are open. Ridiculous. What a waste of a restaurant.

I just left this place, ordered pernil, it is pink in color which means it was NOT well cooked. They are also very stingy with their portions. Save your self a trip and go next door to Paterson NJ! Oh and parking is horrible!!!
