Love the food but TBH they do not follow the business hrs that they post. I have on multiple occasions drive 15 miles for it to be closed during their posted business hours. I have learned to call ahead now.

The new people running it are a bit disorganized. They put the wrong meat on my food. The flautas are much different than they were before they make them with corn tortillas which I believe makes them taquitos but they still charge as much as a flouta. Definitely more flavor than before.

El Charrito’s is a great addition to this community, with fast service and friendly owner. There is no indoor dining, only take out at this time. You can call ahead to order and the food is hot when you receive it. Prices are great too. He serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Closed Sundays and Mondays. I eat here about once a week.

Along Loma Rica road, there’s a small cafe that sells Mexican food. There aren’t many Mexican restaurants up in the hills, but this gem really answers that craving for the real deal. We had just eaten pizza, so we weren’t hungry at the time. But I had been wanting tamales for weeks. Well, we weren’t disappointed. The tamales were full of pork, covered by tasty masa. When we come back up to Oregon House to camp, we’ll definitely be back. Try it. What do you have to lose?

I love his salsa verde you can put it on ANYTHING all of the meals are delicious and really reasonably priced. Not only is it the only real mexican food you’ll find up here it’s the best in my opinion this side of CA Jose is also really nice and does everything himself.
