This is a small, hole in the wall restaurant. There is very limited seating. The wall prices don’t match the menu prices. I shared a taco plate with my sister. We ordered 2 al pastor and one chicken. Al pastor was dry. I took one bite of the chicken taco and could barely chew it enough to swallow, it was like chewing on wet rope with zero flavor. That one bite left nothing but the taste of strong, raw onion. The chips I’m guessing are not house made as they were hard and nearly stale. I stopped here solely on the photos I saw. I love chunky refried beans and these were chunky just NO FLAVOR. The rice is orange but absolutely flavorless. This place needs some SABOR badly. I didn’t get a receipt but things sure added up quickly. I couldn’t find a price for a side of rice and beans so they could charge anything they like. I split a taco plate, an extra side of rice and beans and 2 cans of soda cost me $23+. Pricey for a flavorless meal. Don’t let the photos fool you, the best part of my meal was the salsa and green sauce.

Delicious authentic Mexican food at a great price! I dined in and Ordered a steak burrito with an horchata. I was given free chips and salsa and enjoyed the mild sauce. I will definitely be coming back!

Little Mom n Pop dine in restaurant. Really friendly service. The steak burrito was amazing! Great flavor, big, nicely toasted tortilla. This place is going on my list for sure!

A small friendly taqueria serving up outstanding food! The Carnitas Taco and Al Pastor Quesadilla (on housemade tortillas) were both excellent! As was the absolutely MASSIVE steak (cooked Al Carbon) burrito. I’ll be back soon!

We live down the street and we’ve been saying we have to try this spot out. Friday we decided to order. We got 3 pastor quesadillas and a milanesa torta and 2 horchatas. We were told 15 minutes. We went at 15 minutes waited in the car for a few minutes then went inside. We were told it’d be another 10 minutes. Upon getting the food home (3 minute drive) and opening the bag, we were given 1 red and 1 green salsa and our food. Now that’s a good amount of food for only 2 cups of salsa. Totally felt cheated on that. Torta was okay at best, with a super thin piece of chicken. We asked for it with only sour cream and cheese and for whatever reason it had onions on it which made no sense. The quesadillas were not very good. The tortilla was pretty big but the meat was lacking. I’d feel a lot better if the tortillas were a bit smaller with the same amount of meat. They put tons of diced pineapple in the pastor along with tons of onion. I really didn’t enjoy them. Horchata was just okay. Overall food isn’t that good and service isn’t the best. We won’t be returning again.

Best tacos of carne asada best Alpastor meet they are the in Waukegan!! When I moved to waukegan I could not find the pork tacos I love and when they opened about two years I was pressed! Ever since then this has become out favorite restaurant! I really recommend it if you want great food, and now they are making the place bigger!

My enchiladas were not even cooked! It was chipotle chicken rolled up in soft tortillas with green sauce. I’ve never had chipotle in an enchilada especially with green sauce.
