Love the food here. Always amazing and go often. When you are seated they offer you Chips and salsa. We always say yes. Today I asked if they charge and was told yes. They don’t tell you they charge and I didn’t see them on the menu. You only realize when you get the check. I don’t think that is fair or ethical. I think they should be more transparent about the fact they charge for it.

This is a great local spot and a great value. I find myself coming here more and more often and expanding the menu items that I order. My first go-to was the super pollo asado burrito which, is consistently fresh and IMO, better than any other downtown SR taqueria’s burritos (order it tortilla dorado so everything is nice and hot). Then I tried their breakfast burrito which is also 2nd to none. Seriously, this is something I look forward to on the weekends now, my wife is a huge fan too. Most recently I got the super carnitas burrito which was very good – once again, tortilla dorado. I’ve ordered these at the bar “wet style” and sipped cold beers on draft and the bar has a great vibe. The staff is warm, attentive and only serves food when it’s fresh from the kitchen. It’s clear that everything is made to order. Their habanero salsa is the best around and they sell it in bottles to-go. It’s better than sol foods pique if you like a thin acidic hot sauce, and it’s got a healthy heat, nothing that will light for hair on fire. Looking forward to trying the tortas/ sandwiches next!

We re-discovered Mi Casa 20 years after moving to San Rafael. It’s even better than I remember it. Fantastic food for everyone, even my “non-spicy-foods” Mother In Law and 3 kids. Super burritos are awesome, burrito bowls are made-to-order so yes keto!

Be careful today we went to eat. and the owner knowing that the tips were already included in the ticket. she did not mention my friend, and he gave $30 extra dollars of tips in total they charged my friend $65 of tips, that’s why I recommend looking at your ticket, and that this lady does not take advantage.
