Got takeout from Mi Calvillo tonight and it was excellent! Lovely family greeted us and had our order that we ordered online ready to go. The variety of Mexican dishes are bewildering but all were deliciously prepared from the birria (lamb), chorizo, cochinita (delicate with canela), al pastor to rajas (roasted poblanos with cheese). All come in many forms: quesadillas, tacos, gorditas, sopes, etc. Glad to have found this Mexican restaurant and look forward to trying the lengua, nopales, etc.

We were on 9th Street and wanted Mexican food. The place isn’t much to look at from the outside but the food was really good. I got the house burrito which was great. Lots of people coming in and out for take out orders so I sense they’re busier than it looked like (there was only one other person inside). Prices were very reasonable and service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back

I don’t know what is the magic ingredient in it but I am soo addictive to their house burrito!!! Have been eating it for over a year and I am still not sick of it. Besides house burrito, my other fav dishes are carnitas plate and shrimp tacos. The service is great as well. They always cut and wrap the house burrito nicely upon request 🙂

Totally legit Mexican food! I tried the house burrito and the green enchiladas. Both were great, but I’ll be going back for another house burrito for sure. It was delicious! They have little guava candies up front instead of mints. Try one!

Fantastic, authentic Mexican food! And Sundays, they have pozole and menudo, both of which were delicious. We also enjoyed the sampler plate and the guacamole. Service was excellent. It’s our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the triangle.
