Expensive bland food- think of Moe’s southwest grill and you would be spot on. Couldn’t really taste the salt on most of the food. Sweet tea is terrible. Makes me kind of miss Taco Bell and that is not a compliment.

Clean dining area and nice employees who bring food to your table and take your order, but pretty disappointing food. The salsa had no spices at all. No salt. No cumin. No lime. I added my own bit of salt to make it salvageable. My wife’s cheese quesadilla was fine and my shredded chicken quesadilla was alright, again could use some spices. Maybe I will give this place a try again next time we are in town. But I wouldn’t recommend it to any friends visiting soon.

I’m a little biased because I love Mexican food, however the food here is great! The queso is amazing. I also love how convenient it is. When at times most restaurants are so packed they won’t take anyone else, or there is an over an hour wait. We could just walk into Mexikind and pretty much order right away. The staff was quick and helpful and the food comes out hot and fresh and in a timely manner. Even when the place is packed out service is timely and excellent. They have great mexican inspired food options. Or even just chicken tenders for the kids. They also serve alcohol and have a great selection of beers and margaritas among other things. Overall when we are in the outer banks this place is a go to and never disappoints! Highly Recommend!

This is the first restaurant we came to at the beginning of our vacation and it was horrible! The food was disgusting, I swear you can see me pick out a hair from my food if you check the camera. I took a few bites and you can see me scraping off 95% of my bowl into the trash. The sip of iced tea I took was awful. It tasted like metal/copper/ rust, I can’t describe it any better than that, it was nasty. I poured out the rest and thought I better get a soda. The soda was even worse, we could not finish it. Never ever coming here again.

Great food for less $ than another Mexican place in Corolla. Chips were hot and fresh, pico was great, and our bowls were both delicious. The only criticism I have is that the actual bowls that our bowls came in were too small. It was hard to mix without spilling on the table. Will definitely be back!

Stopping here on vacation is a must. Just had the biggest and best burrito I’ve had in a very long time, at a very fair price. The kind surfer bro cashier was the coup de grace on top of a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Kid friendly but a respectable drink menu is available for those who aren’t teetotaling.

The service was absolutely horrible! Attitude was disgusting for a restaurant! Every table in the entire place was filled with old food and sauce, I had to clean my own table. Girl forgot one of our plates and when we asked about it she smarted off and said “I can only carry 3 plates at a time” we weren’t worried about getting it all at once we were just kindly asking if it was coming next. Will not be back to this place next time I’m in town!

Staff was nice and food was great! Only took minutes to get what we ordered. If you’re brave try the Habanero salsa – hot but great! The portion size will tame any hunger for sure. Definitely will be back again.

I can not recommend this restaurant. I warned the person taking my order that it would be large, and even tipped nearly 30% on our dinner for two adults and four kids. The service was awful, I was charged for food I wasn’t served, nothing came out in an orderly fashion, and the staff was rude to our friends, whose order was also incorrect. The food was fine, but certainly not worth what you’re paying.
