Tacos are horrible. I was so excited to try this place after reading the great reviews however the food is just a big disappointment. I ordered pork tacos, they’re wet, soggy and taste really strange like tuna. No sauce given or anything for flavor. They don’t even taste or look like tacos besides a tortilla.

Had a carry out order that I felt was overpriced and the quality of the food was terrible. Tacos and enchiladas were very dry and the ones with cilantro and onion had no cilantro, the cheese tomatoe and lettuce had hardly anything. Will go to Taco Shop next time, much better.

Well… I walked in and was quickly greeted by the hostess and I seated myself. There was a great deal to choose from on the menu. I asked the hostess what she would recommend and the Enchiladas Verde was one of the recommendations. The presentation of the meal was done well. I thought the cheese sprinkled on the refried beans was a nice touch. Never saw that done before. The green sauce had good color and was tasty (also not too spicy) and the meat was not ground too fine. It was well seasoned and had good consistency. Another nice caveat was the dinner came with 3 enchiladas standard, but they would give you 2 upon request. I wasn’t very hungry so I took them up on their offer. Finally, the price was economical. If you’re looking for a good Mexican meal that won’t break the bank, give this place a try. I’ve been going to Palatine for years and driven past this place many times and never noticed it. Thanks to Google maps I’ll be adding it to my list of restaurants I frequent.

My cousin told us about this place. We live an hour North of Mexico Uno and it was well worth the drive! I had Enchilades Verde , one each Beef, Chicken, Pork. Hubs had Enchilades Poblanus-Steak, we took home the Beef Soup. Out of this WORLD DELISH! Drinks reasonably priced and GREAT! Just wish they weren’t an hour away 🙁 Service was wonderful..thank you

I’ve been dining here for the last 15 years! The food’s very flavorful and authentic (I took my Mexican friends here for dinner multiple times –they definitely vouch for this place)! I usually order the House Special Dinners, like the lengua, parilla, and birria! I also love the tostadas, flautas and the Huevos Rancheros! Another thing I LOVE about Mexico Uno is that you can order Menudo every day (most restaurants only serve it on weekends, which really annoys TF outta me)! Plus, I love that their Menudo also comes with pozole in it–So, I always include it in all my orders! The service is great too–both dine-in and take out; It’s quick, efficient, friendly and professional! I love how the restaurant’s walls are now mostly painted white (they used to be dark brown)! So now, the inside looks more airy and has a more relaxing vibe to it! I will definitely keep coming back here for my Mexican food cravings!!!
