hidden gem in a local neighbourhood. had to queue a while before placing our orders at the counter. i can’t speak any Spanish & the staff couldn’t speak much English, so it was Google translate to the rescue staff were friendly & tried their best though. we were there on a Wednesday, where they had like ½ price on the pork tacos. they also gave out nachos, & 2 different coloured sauces. i preferred the green one as it comes with a fiery spicy punch!

Had a great date night here. The flautas were authentic and tasty. I had two tacos Al pastor and loved the flavor they had. We also ordered a super burrito, Ideal for when you’re hungry. The Micheladas were perfect and I spent no more than 50 for everything. Definitely coming back.

The food here is always great. Sometimes the checkout people are in a good mood and chat other times they just want to get you out of their face. Sometimes when you order something else at tour table, like a drink, they take forever to get it to you, but they are quick to tell you how much it will be since you do pay up front. Been going there forever, and its best to go in the morning when there’s not a lot of people or you will be waiting for a while until a table opens up. Very little parking and never enough tables. It gets a little loud when there’s a lot of people. And the music here is usually sonidero which is so annoying cause there’s so much talking in the middle of each song that you don’t even get to enjoy the song.

Went on a Tuesday afternoon for a quick bite to-go. Parked behind the building as on street parking is hard to find. Staff were amicable and quick to serve. Ambiance was relaxed with plenty of seating indoors and outside. Few orders were ahead of mine but the food came out within a relatively short time. Ordered a chicken mulita and a chorizo burrito. Both were extremely great with the right amount of grease and flavor, meat well cooked, packed with the right measure of condiments. Red and green salsa are given by default and good as well.

Wednesday is tacos al pastor $1 plus tax and oh boy are they fire! The meat is cooked and fried the way its supposed to be, the tortillas are delicious, the sauce is actually spicy, they don’t skimp on the lemons or the meat, and they give slices of radish on the side. 10/10 would recommend, and eat again for sure.

Food was delicious, the most authentic Mexican street food you’ll ever get. Staff was extremely nice, but keep in mind this is a MEXICAN place, so they most likely speak Spanish. Very nice and friendly, just speak to them in Spanish. Prices are very reasonable, keep in mind they are in DOWNTOWN San Jose, a place where its very pricey. The workers there are very hard working, they work there all day and still have good customer service. I see a lot of negative reviews on here, so let me clear some things up. This is not a sit in restaurant. You have to go up and order your food. The workers are very kind enough to bring your food to you once you sit down. I reccomend this place if you’re looking for an authentic Mexican experience and authentic Mexican food.

Food is OK, but every time I come here I have a bad experience.. they seem to be understaffed and whenever you order at the window they treat you like they are doing you the biggest favor ever, if the staff is underpaid and doing a poor job, consider paying them more and maybe they will not be grumpy all the time.

Food was amazing I had a huarache and some tacos price was perfect the only thing that I would recommend is not to get the mix drinks. I got a chaveta and they brought it on a cup that was half full.. I don’t know if they even put beer in it but not good tasted nasty I had to order another beer on the side to add to it.
