Started with a house margarita, excellent. Followed it with chips, salsa and guacamole. Both sides were very flavorful. Salsa lacked any salt but the guacamole had more than its share.

Food quality is superb. The customer service the night I went was freaking sick. I mean beyond imaging it was so good. I was a bit tired and I think it was the manager but he made me feel so good. A VERY kind man that you don’t run into very often in life. Only downside, maybe a bit loud for me.

We stopped here for dinner after a full day of touring. What a nice surprise! We chose the Mexican side of life rather than sushi – just personal preference. Their chips and roasted red pepper salsa are unique and very tasty! Our entrees were also amazing and we both had food leftover we could not eat. Service was also fantastic. A week later and we both are still talking about how good it was! Highly recommend! Priced to stay in business and we sure hope they do!

Wow…..get the corn! And ask for JP. The food was fresh and everything was amazing! The fusion of Mexican and Asian is amazing.

$16 for a house Margarita served in a pint glass. Suppose if I knew it was $6 dollars extra I would have taken the 8oz for $10 Way overpriced.

We enjoyed our meal at Mesu. Natalia was great. Very accommodating to our boys. We love both of these cuisines together. Everything was good. The only downside was the high prices and loud music. Guess we’re getting old..

In Charleston for the weekend and this was our first meal here. I’d never thought about pairing Mexican cuisine with sushi but I must admit it’s a great pair. The chips and salsa were wonderful. The seasoning on the chips gave them great flavor and the salsa was super fresh. The tacos were amazing. The braised beef was the best of the ones we had. The sushi was also top-notch. The Dynamite Roll was actually spicy, and I really appreciated that. It is on the pricey side but it’s definitely worth it. The restaurant is quite small, and can get quite loud, so if loud noises bother you, you may be better suited to order take-out. I had read that the service was slow, but we were in and out in less than an hour. I would definitely go back.

I hate to give a bad review but I didn’t have a great experience here. The service was slow considering how every table was not filled and it is a small restaurant. My party was sat at 7:30 and didn’t get our entrées until 8:40. The chips and queso app looked good on the menu but there was some weird sort of seasoning on top of them which wasn’t great. The sushi was fine nothing special. There are much better restaurants which are sushi based or mexican on king st with better service.

Delicious appetizers + drinks, with friendly staff and fun art. A great spot to sit at the bar and catch a game, or to grab a table and enjoy a delicious meal. Loved it! Don’t miss the Build Your Own Marg option — the spicy margaritas are some of the best I’ve had!

Solid Charleston choice. The sake selection is actually pretty good! Lobster Rangoon roll is so freakin good. Crispy chicken tacos are always bomb. Great atmosphere with cool art. People will love to hate on this place but forget about em and enjoy yourself!
