Stopped in here today and really enjoyed the food. Great food, great service. I had the pulled pork sandwich with green chile cornbread. The pulled pork is very tender and flavorful. They even put coleslaw on top of the sandwich which adds a nice element to it. The cornbread is very moist and delicious. My friend had the rib platter with Macaroni and fries, another friend had the sampler platter with beans and coleslaw. They both seemed to enjoy the food as well. The owner, Pete, really knows his BBQ and is great with the guests and with his staff. I will definitely be back. Everyone should go try this place!!!

Great place, you could tell the server was new, but nonetheless helpful with taking orders and bringing refills. I had the sliced brisket sandwich with a side of fries and it was great, just wish they had a spicier sauce (i love spicy food). Fries were also good. The size of it is also good, i was pretty full afterwards. The tea was ok. The owner stopped by our table to introduce himself. Happy overall.

My favorite BBQ. I’ve tried most everything on the menu and don’t have a single complaint. The best brisket I’ve ever had, hands down. Delicious pulled pork and a variety of sausages. Taking my son there for his birthday tonight for smoked prime rib. Highly recommend this place!

This place rocks. The service has been top notch, each and every time we have been in there. The sauces are all great and the food is phenom. It’s about time Las Cruces got a BBQ place worth going to. For all those others that rated less than 4 stars, I honestly have no idea what happened for you because this is hands down, the best BBQ in the area and great service to boot. WILL be going back.

My family and I were looking forward to trying this place for my husbands birthday, but ended up leaving very disappointed. The table was located in a corner booth and was awkward and wobbly. However, some of the center tables look steadier (I think we just got a bad one). The sweet tea was awful and by that I mean cloudy and chemical tasting. After one sip, we opted for another beverage. My 6 year old daughter ordered mac and cheese but then didn’t eat any of it because she didn’t like it. I decided to try a bit and my mouth was instantly on fire. Who makes macaroni that spicy for a young child?? I enjoy spicy food but her meal was extreme, even for my taste. The server was really the icing on the cake. He had absolutely no enthusiasm for what he does and every request we made was treated as an inconvenience for him (ie: more napkins, new drinks, a hot dog for my now macaroni hating daughter). We also were never offered refills on our beverages and had to hunt another employee down for straws. At one point he tried taking the plate from my daughter while she was still eating (in mid bite!) and I had to ask him to leave it so she could finish. The rest of the food was okay, nothing extraordinary. My family of 6 was about 50/50 on like and dislike. The most uncomfortable moment came when it was time to pay. We never actually received a bill, instead were just told how much we owed (weird). The price seemed higher than we were expecting, so I can only assume that we were billed for the drinks and plates that we returned. We paid cash and left little to nothing for a tip. We will not be returning….. ever.

Very disappointing. Waited almost 15 minutes before the waiter came to get our order, even though the place was nearly empty. Pulled pork sandwich was tolerable, but the chopped brisket was overly fatty and tasted strongly of artificial smoke flavoring. Waited almost 15 minutes for the waiter to bring our check after finishing. I hope they make some changes, as Las Cruces needs a good BBQ joint, but as it is right now, this isn’t it.

I give it four stars because of the people bot the food. The food is only ok. Service is great thought. Everyone is friendly. The chopped brisket is very dry but not too bad. The hot links aren’t spicy and are very salty tasting. The Mac and cheese was good. My biggest complaint is the “peach cobbler”, it ain’t cobbler. It’s like a weird bread pudding travesty. It was terrible. I will go back though because the people are great.

This place is great. They smoke their meat and allow you to sauce it the way you want. They also have Sunday brunch buffet which is freaking awesome. Also, me and my girlfriend went there on Veterans Day, she is an ex-Marine, well they gave her whatever meal she wanted for free. I highly recommend this place is you are looking for BBQ in Cruces.

Delicious home style BBQ at a great price! One of the best BBQ places I’ve had the pleasure of eating at. Great food, large portions, great service and prices! I recommend the sampler platter and a Shiner IPA or two to wash it down.

So, this evening, my family of four went to eat at Mesilla Valley BBQ Co. Initially, the young waitress barely acknowledged us as she picked up four menus and went to the table, but didn’t suggest we follow her. Then, once we were seated, we just sat and sat waiting for a waiter or waitress. Eventually, a waitress came over to a table of customers across from us who came in After us, and let them know she would be back with them, but we were never acknowledged. So, we got up and left. Really???????!!!!!! Believe me, I won’ t be suggesting friends come to this place to eat, especially after 8pm, since it seems the waiters and waitresses don’t acknowledge anyone over the age of 20! Sucks, because we thought the food would be good. Good luck with your business!
