This is the second time I’ve come here, and it continues to be exceptional. There was a brief hiccup at the start, as they were out of the first few drinks I tried to order (they’re in a transitional period on their taps and sangrias), but Sydney was just so incredibly sweet about it, and the 50 west beer I settled on was amazing, I can’t be upset.

Walked in on a Saturday evening and placed our name on a wait list for outdoor seating even though there were open tables. The hostess noted we had about a 30 minute wait. After 30 minutes we noticed that other parties were entering and being seated although we had not been. The hostess walked by us and sat another new party that had entered and smirked as she passed us. We decided to leave because we felt unwelcome.

We’ve been to Mesa Loca twice now, and each time was fantastic. The birria tacos are insanely good, but so is everything else we have had. The drinks are spot on. Service is great and is quick. We went to a tequila tasting lunch, and it was such a great time we will go to the next one they have.

Lovely evening on the patio, the carnitas burrito and shrimp tacos were perfection! Throw in a tasty margarita, and it’s five stars! The server was very attentive, prices are reasonable, give this place a try, and you won’t be disappointed!

Mesa had a very unique feel to it. It is located in a pretty happening area of Hyde Park, and I decided to try something new. The recommendations from the staff were great, and they were very respectful and pleasant. The restaurant itself feels a little uninspired, but the food and drinks speak for themselves. The jalapeno infused karrikin tequila (Cincy made) made for one of the best spicy margaritas I have found in the city. The flautas were recommended to me, and they were fire. I loved every bite. The birria tacos definitely had the right taste and by no means were bad, but I did not find them to be special like the flautas. Overall a great experience with the staff and dining.

Nestled in the town of Hyde Park slightly north of the city of Cincinnati, we found Mesa Loca. It is on the corner of Hyde Park Square. Easy to find accessible parking all around, the place has a very welcoming, comfortable vibe. It is an excellent spot for date night, girls night, family night or single night. They have a well stocked and beautiful bar, awesome wall art and super cool light fixtures, but how’s the food? Well, I most definitely saved the BEST for last, because WOW! The Birria tacos were so full of flavor and spicy they were absolutely perfect, but our favorite part was the starter of freshly made guacamole and queso dip with spicy chorizo! We most definitely filled up on the best authentic Mexican food the city has to offer. We were so pleased with the food, atmosphere of the space and the Absolutely perfect service. From Nick who sat us and then followed up before we left, letting us know they serve brunch and would love to have us back to the adorable and kind waitress Cait! We will most definitely be in to try more of this delicious menu! Stop in you won’t be disappointed!

My friend and I waited awhile for a table. Once we were sat we ordered the nachos and quesadillas to share. After leaving we didn’t feel the best. The next couple of days we we’re very sick. This is the only food that we both had that was the exact same.

Follow Up Nov 22′ This use to be my fav Mexican spot. But 1yr later this place has changed Drastically. Managerial changes & the food & the service. We tried to whether the changes but Sorry, it’s just declined. I wouldn’t recommend this place like I use to. Those pictures are from earlier this year.
