I’ve been eating chops for 50 years. Got one today and it was terrible. Chop was cold, weiners were salty, chili was thick like jello. The slaw was heavy with mayo and smelled spoiled. I am VERY disappointed.

Everytime I go here now the hotdogs they use for the chili and chops are super old I even go there soon as they open there recipe is not the same as years ago it use to be great food but it’s like everything has Been completely not cook freshly only re heated

I went with my small child to get a hot dog for her and bbq for me. Mine was good but her hot dog wasn’t grilled, more like boiled? There’s no dine in area anymore, just pick up. It just feels run down. They have road frontage on a nice, commercial road but you have to order and pick up around the back in an alley from a rickety out building? It has potential. Hopefully they can clean it up and start using the real building again. I liked the cole slaw, baked beans, and pork sandwich!

Loved the ribs and pulled pork sandwiches but no more. The taste and quality of the food we had yesterday was worse than poor. Feels like a change of ownership and/or management has occurred. Either way, I will not go back.

1 star because that is a requirement. Ask for a chop plate. Get home no beans. They say you have to ask… Why not be like every professional establishment and ask “beans or no beans” or put it on the menu. I don’t frequent that place how am i supposed to know. I wanted a refund instead of some beans on the side. A whole 11.00 and they had a fit. Customer service could use some improvement. They should ask everyone “beans or no beans” I will never order from this establishment again but hey I heard some people love the “food”

I’ve known the owners since I was a child. Mona and Bundo made me feel right at home, and the food was just as I remembered: good ‘ol comfort food, plus new items! The shoulder sandwich is the bomb! Do yourself a favor and go to Memo’s!

I recently moved to Douglas Heights, so this place is right around the corner from me. I’ve been curious about it and tonight I tried it. The place was very clean, the staff was SO friendly and helpful. I’d never heard of a chopped wiener plate, but quickly decided that’s what I should get, as everyone else had ordered one. It DID NOT disappoint! I loved the hot sauce and mustard with it, the slaw was crisp and just a little sweet (like your Mama makes it), baked beans were great, and it was served with toasted rolls. I’ll soon be a regular at Memo’s. Yum!

Ordered a chopped for my boyfriend because Old Plantation Bar B Cue was closed. He was not pleased ♀️ I can’t give my opinion because I don’t care for chops so I didn’t taste it. They were crowded and the people working were nice.
