I am only giving this review 3 stars because I just went for takeout. It was a weekday, so it wasn’t busy. The only thing I purchased was egg rolls, and they were okay. I had better ones and other Chinese restaurants.

I am from Hawaii and was raised on Chinese and Japanese food. Memories of China is as close as truly authentic as can be and not American-fide as other Asian restaurants have done. Though not cheap, they are not horribly pricey.

This used to be my go-to place for quick Chinese food, but lately they’ve really gone down hill, mostly in their customer service. The food quality is still okay for carry out Chinese, but they’ve charged my card more than I authorized, on multiple occasions. At first it was just over a dollar, which I was willing to look past. But it seems to increase every time we visit, this last time over $6 higher than I signed for. Not only is this ILLEGAL, but now I’m spending $26 for two lunch specials, which costs half that price elsewhere locally for similar quality.

We have never posted anything like this before, but want to let others know of our horrible experience. I wished I had read the reviews! We ordered take out. It wasn’t long before my husband was throwing up from food poising! I was sick too but not as bad as him. I called and talked to the manager and explained what happened and asked for a refund, only for the manager to tell me to bring the rest of the food back. He was hard to understand. I told him I couldn’t because my husband is still throwing up, I was shocked when he hung up on me!! My husband called back and again the manager was very hostile, unprofessional and loud and he hung up on him! After yet another phone call, the manager said for us to bring the bag the food came in and receipt. We made one last visit there and talked to the manger and it took another week but we were finally reimbursed. After reading other reviews and how many people are getting food poisoning I am surprised they are still in business! Unfortunately, they lost our business.
