I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff and Kathy behind the counter today and they were so welcoming and explained a bit about what is on offer. I order a nice, simple BLT and vegetable beef soup. Fresh and delicious! This would also be a great stop on a road trip, etc, as you will walk away feeling fresher and more homemade than fast food.

I thought I had already rated this fabulous deli. It was a treat, of course we were asked where we were from as they know everyone who lives there. And our sandwich maker, probably an owner said, first time guests get a free cookie. Homemade teas and lemonade, delightfully beautiful little town, amazing food and the smiles of the employees made us feel welcome and appreciated. You just can’t be happier with a random stop like that. I wish I had taken photos of the food. It was our favorite place to eat on our two week trip! I’m sure anything you choose is going to be wonderful.

The baked potato salad and the pasta salad with kale, sundried tomatoes and pesto are both worth the trip alone- but the sandwiches are tasty and priced right as well. The shaved ham and French dips are both excellent. If you’re looking for a comfort food sandwich and side- can’t really go wrong here.

I’ve been driving past Melton’s Deli for years and never stopped. After leaving the post office, I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed and highly recommend giving them a try. Staff was super nice and cheerful! I will definitely be going back soon.

Really friendly employees. We ordered three different sandwiches and all three were good. I liked the Reuben that my daughter ordered. They have regular pimento cheese and a spicier version as well that we got a sample of. They were both good, we ended up buying a pound of the spicier one to take home. Definitely will eat here again.
