This was just an easy place to grab some pizza for lunch. Fun atmosphere, kid and family-friendly. They did have no hand towels in the bathroom and I had to remind them a couple times but other than that the service was friendly and the food was delicious! We sat outside under the covered area because it was a fairly cool day. They had all the sports on which was nice because it was sunday! And they just really have some unique combinations of pizza and they had good choices of beer on tap.

I can strongly recommend their Peach Iced Tea and Peach Buzz. The Enlightened Spinach Salad is really good (very apple-y), but also sweet. Next time, I’ll split this and a small pizza with someone else. The Holy Shiitake Pie was also a booth favorite at our family’s visit.

Something was not right at Mellow Mushroom today. With tax and tip, one large pizza with toppings was $37. We ordered online and arrived at the stated pickup time. The pizza had not been started. The dine-in and take-out were not busy. The pizza was not prepared as ordered. We ordered thin dough and crispy; the dough was thick and chewy. We did not order extra cheese; the cheese was so thick that it slid off the pizza. The toppings were on the pizza but the cheese was so thick you could not see them or taste them.

While enjoying our pizza we overheard a waitress with short brown hair and glasses talking badly about customers at other tables, one specifically right beside my table. I love the pizza and overall vibe of this restaurant, just shocked on how low their standards have reached for employees. Customers should not have to worry about staff ridiculing them behind their backs while they enjoy their dinner. I am sad to have to take my business elsewhere due to the establishment hiring mean girl bullies. To said employee: It does not make you quirky or cool to be offensive, mean and judgmental. I hope you are reprimanded for bullying customers on the clock.
