Everyone was friendly! The food options are amazing! So many choices including your base! The pesto is the best ever! The bartender was very attentive and she was very informative! Crazy to learn they only make tips no hourly wage! Tip the people that work!

I have two favorite food items at Mellow mushroom, and neither of them are technically the pizza (even though the pizza is so good!). Mellow probably has the best calzone in town, like the ricotta in there is *chefs kiss* and you get to dip it in their Mellow sauce (ask for extra haha). But the real shocker here is that I am 99% sure that the best wings in Auburn are found here. I cannot attest to all flavors, but the cloud 9 wings are all the flavors you’ve ever desired all at once. Also vibes here are 10/10 for the colorful hippie nature-themed art that I love.

I haven’t been to Mellow Mushroom in years because the experience hasn’t been something that I want to repeat. A few people kept telling me how this is their favorite spot for pizza as I stared at them in disbelief. I would end up here because it is a great spot to socialize but my pizza would frequently arrive burnt. Well, all this has changed! I love meat so I had the steak and cheese calzone; however I tried the Holy Shitake Pie and Enlightened Spinach Salad. I didn’t know the portions were so large and had to take half of it home. It was a life changing experience! The Holy Shitake Pie was made with mushrooms but it tasted like sausage. If you want protein with a flavor boost, be sure to add chicken to the salad. I’ve been visiting this Mellow for as long as I can remember and it’s fantastic! The American-style pizza is consistently excellent. We recently tried the spicy beer cheese, which was also really good. The service is always top-notch. It’s definitely one of my favorite pizza places in Auburn!

Ordered wings not even thinking about cross contamination and the waitress actually told me and warned me of cross contamination. So of course I didn’t eat them and just ordered a different type of wings that were gluten free. I watched the girl behind the counter change her gloves multiple times to be cautious with what she was touching. Just amazing experience . The gluten free pizza is amazing and delicious you can’t even tell the difference between regular and gluten free . I was so happy to find a place that was cautious and celiac friendly.
