OMG walked into Meldgie’s River edge Cafe and liked the cozy atmosphere was greeted as soon as we walked and wasn’t rushed to order which I enjoy ,my wife and I ordered the #4 two eggs with bacon and homefries which was cooked to our liking but on the wall of specials of the day was a bunch of delicious items to choose from we also chose the strawberry, blueberry cream cheese crepe were amazing the flavors were all there you tasted the blueberry and cream cheese and strawberry nothing was overpowering just the right blend . I definitely look forward to coming back soon.

Restaurant was incredibly crowded for 11:15am on a Tuesday but we were seated right away! Lots of options on Menu including Gluten-Free Toast and GF Johnny Cakes! Even though there were lots of customers our food came out extremely fast and was all we asked for! Server was friendly and very accommodating! Definitely will be back again! A great local RI cafe!

I had to ask for a steak knife to cut my waffle it was old and very crispy. My friend ordered the sruffed french toast . The stuffing was good the bread was old. The waitress was kind and the place was very busy. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal except for us.

Fantastic!! Growing up in New York, diners are a way of life. Outside of New York, I’ve always had a hard time finding anyplace the compares. But this place is fantastic! The food was great, service was good and fast, and it just had the warm diner atmosphere. Really enjoyed it. I will be back (in bunches!)

I did not have a plan to go here but was searching for a place to go because the place I was going to was closed on Tuesday. I am pretty bad about taking pictures so I took a picture of my left overs, because when I was there I was more concerned about eating my food than taking a picture of it. The omelet was excellent, the home fries are good, my grilled English was a little dry but I added my own butter. I was very excited that they had a variety of tea as I do not drink Lipton tea. The service was very fast, and the prices were good.

A very local place with fresh, and mean F R E S H food. Some of best hone frie potatoes with breakfast. Slowly ( sadly for me)becoming a go to place for tourists. But understandable given great prices and and fantastic food. Friendly service is trifecta.
