First off, the owners are lovely and the service was great! We got the hummus with pita, gyro pita wrap, and the falafel pita wrap with a cappuccino truffle dessert. Everything tasted great and the Greek potato side was delicious. The dessert was so good, it is a coffee ice cream with a rich chocolate shell. Loved it all!

A truly hidden gem. This restaurant offers authentic and delicious Mediterranean food, mostly Lebanese and Greek. It has a simple decoration and, to be honest, the dining area seemed a bit neglected to me. The staff is very friendly. The portions are big enough and the price seemed ok to me. Overall, the quality was great.

This place has been here for 30+ years and the food is absolutely incredible. The owner is also the cook and I promise you won’t find better mediterranean good anywhere else around. Please don’t pass it up, give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

We were the only restaurant patrons. It took a very long time for someone to take our order and even longer for the food to arrive. My shrimp kebabs were lukewarm and not deveined. A tremendously uninspired experience. I had to go to McDonalds afterwards to actually eat a decent meal. I’m sorry to say this, everyone seemed nice, but it was not good.

Stopped in for a lamb and beef gyro and was not disappointed. Very flavorful. The greek salad, hummus and pita were delightful and flavorful too. I have a new favorite place for med food! BTW: I agree with previous reviews about the owners. Very pleasant and make you want to return for sure!

We’ve been visiting Mediterranean Chef for a number of years. The staff is friendly, the food is well made, and the atmosphere is certainly correct for the types of food served. On this occasion, my daughter and I visited as she wanted Greek food for dinner. Our server, Sana, was polite, accommodating with some minor menu change requests, and had wonderful recommendations (do yourself a favor and have the Turkish coffee). This visit cemented why we will continue to patronize this establishment for years to come. Thank you Mediterranean Chef for a fantastic experience.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of placing an order for pick up at this Mediterranean restaurant, and I must say it was a complete disappointment. Not only were the prices double what was advertised on their website, but the food itself was shockingly bland, lacking any seasoning or flavor. The dishes tasted old and stale, with the baklava being the epitome of disappointment—it was dry, cardboard-like, and far from the delightful treat it should have been. The meat was chewy, and the potatoes were completely devoid of any seasoning, forcing me to resort to adding my own just to salvage some taste. As someone who has enjoyed exceptional Mediterranean cuisine in various locations, including Chicago, this was by far the worst Mediterranean food I have ever encountered. I would strongly advise seeking out other establishments that truly deliver on the flavors and quality that this cuisine deserves. The food was not worth the high prices!

I got the deluxe combo platter and everything was absolutely incredible! The meat was cooked to perfection and every bite was just as delicious as the previous one…it was all so fresh! The staff is so kind and the environment is very welcoming. I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing a bite to eat here, you won’t be disappointed!

My experience did NOT match up to the other reviews. First off, the wife / server was INCREDIBLY rude to our party and acted like we were an inconvenience even being there. She refused to give us a 2nd refill on our drinks because “we had had too much already” (Note this was just soda… not alcohol or anything.) And the only reason we even needed a drink refill was because we had to wait so long for our food. The food was bland and tasted like it came straight from food service bags to the microwave to our plates. It was further ruined by being slopped with an excessive amount of sauce poured on top, which by the way, was NOT listed on the menu, not requested, and definitely not enjoyed. I guess they needed the slop on the food to disguise the otherwise unimpressive offering. A huge disappointment, and we definitely will NOT be back.

Lovely family owned restaurant. The husband and wife run the restaurant by themselves. The husband cooks while the wife waits. Sweetest people ever. The food is delicious and authentic. As a vegetarian I’m always happy to new restaurants. There is a lot of options to choose from. (Please keep in mind I’ll .eat an appetizers As a main course.) The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting.i drive from Galveston to eat here.
