I’ve tried the Mecca twice. I REALLY want to like the place because the vibe is so cool. Think wood panelled North Woods supper club. The staff seems nice. Unfortunately, the food just isn’t that good. I’ve ordered a steak both times. First time the meat tasted off. The second time, the meat had no flavor at all. My advice…go for a drink at the cool looking bar. Eat dinner somewhere else.

Went for Sunday brunch a few weeks ago…food was okay, but when the bill came it was over $80! Two children and three adults. We really didn’t eat that much, but rather than question it, we paid and left. I’m going to give it another shot tomorrow only because I love the bacon and the atmosphere. Also, I’m curious as to how they come up with a total amount due if it’s set up as a buffet and the waitress never “waited” on us. Odd. That bacon tho!!

Haven’t been there in many years but 5 friends wanted to give it a try. I had a 16 oz stout, and a patty melt with cottage fries. The 10 oz burger would have been good but, either the burger itself or the fried onion topping was very salty as were the cottage fries. One of my friends also complaining about the soup being too salty. Not a restaurant for people with hypertension.

Great bar. Plenty of TV’s to watch any game you want. Super great food! Very surprised at the fantastic selection. Ordered multiple things and each one came out hot fresh and fantastic! The staff was very attentive and super friendly. Overall great place to hang out. Can’t wait to go back.

Huge shout out to the bartender. A couple of us showed up late one Tuesday. We all had several drinks and they kept getting better and better with each one. The bartender came by and chatted with us. We did not order any food. Perhaps next time around. Will definitely return.

Much of the “fresh” food they claim to have is actually frozen, from cans, or just plain re-heated. Multiple ex-employees attest to this, and from someone who has worked in and dined at restaurants that actually have fresh made food, you can taste the difference. I’ve given it a chance and tried multiple dishes, and nothing impressed me.
