I eat here every time I stay at the hotel, mainly out of apathy and exhaustion on my part but I wouldn’t if the food wasn’t so good. They “branded” the burger bun… I guess that adds a few minutes to it; it’s not usually the fastest place around.

Our server was outstanding. I tried the lavender martini. It was lovely but didn’t have a noticeable lavender taste. The bacon cheeseburger was excellent. I thought the McKinley Grill brand on the bun was a fun touch. The sweet potato fries are seasoned with cinnamon, and sugar, and salted. They are perfectly crisped. The flourless chocolate lava cake was much lighter than expected. It was artfully presented with whipped cream, raspberry puree, and a sliced fresh strawberry. The cake serving is about 3.5 inches, so you do have room for it even if you are the whole burger.

Good food and ambience. I really liked the staff. Not too expensive neither very cheap. Their pancakes are great. And the house potatoes were also amazing. They serve Starbucks coffee as well. We tried the desert to the day which was okay. Drinks are good.

We had the breakfast buffet. At $30 per person it wasn’t a good value for us. It’s a small buffet with few choices. The potatoes were bland and soggy, and the sausage was nearly flavorless. The eggs, however, are freshly cooked to your order and were delicious. The eggs and toast were the best part of the meal and could have been ordered for half the price of the buffet. We had tea instead of coffee, and it was a frustrating experience. Tea should come in a teapot and not be dribbled in one small cup at a time. A restaurant at this level needs to step-up its tea service and invest in some teapots.

As expected, this restaurant will never let you down and always give it’s best. Atmosphere, food and service at it’s highest level . I had their crispy Calamari, Salmon and Ceasars salad. It was ALL delicious and topped it off with Dessert!!

Food was very nice though overpriced as is to be expected in California. The service was very friendly but horribly slow. I requested refill 3 times before receiving it. Ticket time for a mostly empty restaurant at 2pm was well over 30 minutes. Not sure if this was due to staffing as the server seemed to be pretty busy. I will avoid this for the remainder of my stay since I actually enjoy attentive waiters when I’m paying for the meal.

My experience at McKinley’s was great as always once a year we come down here for the LA County Fair and enjoy staying at the sheraton. The service is always great and today was especially a great day as we had only booked One Night in error and the hostess Randy was able to book another night for us.

Nice breakfast option, very healthy, and they also use paper plates for everything takeouts, which is quite admirable, including paper bags. But the lunch and dinner options are boring and typical. The other night, while staying at the Sheraton, I was there for dinner, and the food got to us cold because they were quite understaffed. I recommend their breakfast options 10/10.

We made a reservation for this place and they gave us hotel banquet seating which I thought was really strange. I asked and they said the restaurant doesn’t open til 11. Hmmm don’t know what is going on here but I expected a nice restaurant with my own table and I’m at a banquet table of 12 with people I don’t know on Mother’s Day. Lovely!
