This was my first time to McGraths. We were quickly seated and our server was right over to take our drink orders and let us know about happy hour. We started with the French onion soup which was very good. We both ordered the shepherd’s pie for our entree. The pie was super hot and freshly made, it was very good. Lots of meat and veggies covered in potatoes. For dessert we had the Jameson bread pudding which we loved. A large piece of pudding with ice cream, caramel sauce and whipped cream. The only thing I didn’t like is it had golden raisins in it which I had pick out. Overall a really good dinner and will return for the $6 smash burger Thursdays!

Came in for the Thursday smash burger specials. Seated immediately but table was sticky and one seat appeared to have a drink spilled in it. Hostess took care of the seat but table still sticky. Music was extremely loud and made it difficult to conversate with people at our table. Service was a bit slow in the beginning due to waiter being busy but he did great once he got to us initially and checked back often. The smash burgers came out quick and presentation was great. Burger patties themselves appeared unseasoned but the burgers as a whole were great. For less than $10 a person I felt like my family got their money’s worth and left full and happy.

We had an excellent time this afternoon at McGrath’s. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie and I had the Reuben. Both were good. The beer was cold (Guiness/Harp/half and half/ Calusa Zote / many more). Bartender was attentive. What more can you ask for?

We were visiting my cousin in Lakewood Ranch and for a little while they were working, so we took the opportunity to a little bar-hopping. First stop: McGrath’s Irish Ale House for a Guiness. It was poured perfectly, which is sometimes hard to come by. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

** Extremely loud live band ** Service and food were good. Server was friendly and polite. Loud music made it very difficult to relax and enjoy the dining experience. Mentioned to server that the music was extremely loud. Volume decreased for one song and then returned to the original deafening volume. Multiple patrons complained with no effect. Definitely will not be returning on live music nights (Fri. and Sat. nights) and can’t recommend this restaurant if you are looking to have conversations with your party. Concerns were raised to the manager directly also. I could say that our complaints/suggestions fell on deaf ears. I believe he was close to the music too long.

Ate here with a large group and service was great, food was wonderful. Among us we had shepherd’s pie, Irish stew, Beef on Weck (a French dip type) sandwich, appetizers and a few craft cocktails. No complaints, and we will be back.
