We are a local family owned cafe, dedicated to serving quality food with the best service possible. Opened in 2008, we used our family recipes to bring wonderful home cooked food to the quaint Village of Salado. Stop in for a great cup of coffee and slice of pie or bring the whole family in for our tried and true full breakfast and lunch menu.

Everything was so good! We didn’t have a chance to take pics of our 5 delicious plates… we had an omelette an American breakfast , eggs Benedict, and a fluffy blueberry pancake … everything was really good…. We will be there again tomorrow for sure !!

This place was amazing!! The iced lattes, blueberry scones, the all American breakfast and French toast were out of this world! The service was adorable as it’s family owned. Our waitress Lily was attentive and very sweet checking on our table to ensure we were enjoying our experience.

Overpriced and food wasn’t all that great. My parents ordered scrambled eggs and toast, and I went for a pancake. Order took forever to come out, and I didn’t know they would charge us almost $5 for two slices of bread. Pancake was $5.55, and there truly was nothing special about it. I could have gotten more bang for my buck at iHOP. I will say that the host was very attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Amazing food and amazing service! Everyone here is so friendly and fun to talk to. I ordered the veggie sandwich and they even threw in hash browns after breakfast was over. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town 🙂

Fantastic! We were in town for three days and this became our go-to breakfast place. Great food and friendly service. This is the place the locals go and are greeted by name which is always a good sign. Variety of breakfast items available from omelets, pancakes, muffins, and full plates with eggs, bacon/sausage, hash browns, toast, etc. Perfect start to our day while staying in Salado!

My family of six just came in for the pastries and coffee. The man who served us was friendly, but was unsure of what was in the case. Some of it wasn’t labeled. For our coffees, they tasted good. They were made by a little girl though, maybe in fifth grade? So, she didn’t make my coffee correctly, but I didn’t say anything. We saw people eating in the back kitchen right next to the food they’re serving and nobody was wearing gloves. Just letting you know in case that’s important to you, especially during Covid. We had the blueberry togas, raspberry danishes, and a fruit cup. Everything we ate was delicious. We spent about $27 for 5 pastries, a fruit cup, and three coffees.

This little cafe is in a the small town of Salado. You will love the small town feel just being there. McCain’s wont disappoint! The service is fast and the staff is very kind. The cafe is very well kept. They seem to use very good quality ingredients. I liked the coffee and the food we ordered. You should make sure to stop by next time you are in the central Texas area.

Place was very small! Walked in and just stood there for several minutes before anyone even spoke to us, just to come find out we could’ve just sat ourselves like 5 minutes ago… I order a cheeseburger with extra mustard, I get a burger with absolutely NO mustard… my gf ordered a BLT and got a Bacon sandwich with no Lettuce or Tomato! ♂️ they only bring u ONE napkin to use, so I hope u make do with that one! They were also mixing up orders from the other tables around us, bringing them the wrong food, and they also needed napkins ! Seems like they need to tighten up in there! Not really an excuse for forgetting lettuce and tomatoes when the ingredients are IN THE NAME BLT tried to order fried w my burger and they don’t even have fries… order chips and they apparently only have ONE kind! Lays original! No options ! No sour cream and onion, no Jaleno, no bbq etc. The waitress asks us what sides we want and we’re scouring the menu for sides just to come find out THERE ISN’T A SIDES SECTION on the menu! There’s a very tiny sentence in the middle of the menu that says “chips, baked potato or coke slaw” … that’s it… those are your options.. take it or leave it ♂️ I think another page added on to the menu would serve them well. As long as an all day breakfast menu. Myself and the table to the right of me came there hoping to get breakfast but unfortunately they just stopped serving breakfast 14 min before we got there
