I tried to come here the other day and they were so busy I couldn’t get in…now I know why. This place is Great! Very Homey, clean and every person I met was so friendly. I honestly felt like they were family. LA. told me about the chicken tortilla soup and I also had a BLT, A. My food was so good. I just cannot give this place enough praise! I love it! I came back with my husband and he loves as much as I do!

I’ve visited other McAlister’s delis, and always enjoyed them, so when I visited a friend in Jackson, I thought I should try them again. When we got in around 11:30am, there was a line of about 5 people ahead of us, and it took quite a while to get up to order, as only one person was taking orders. They were also slowing it down by having to fill the drink orders at the same time. This could be easily fixed if they had the soda and teas where customers could help themselves. It also seemed like they tried to fill every glass with as much ice as possible, so you wouldn’t get much of an actual drink, just mostly ice. After our order was in, it took about 20 minutes to get our food, which was just way too long for a fast casual restaurant. There is actually no way you can say fast casual, but more like slow casual. Anyway, the food was ok, and had good flavor. I had their signature club, while my friend had the King Club, which had double the meat. The bread on my club seemed like it was smashed and super thin, which you may be able to tell from the attached pic. My friend’s King club did not have the same issue. It was much more a meal for sure. I had potato salad as my side which was good, though maybe just a bit too much mayo. So food not bad overall, but just way too much of a wait. Perhaps ordering through the app about 30 minutes before you get there would work to not have to wait? Oh, the line only got longer as time went on, and there were at least 8 people waiting after they had ordered, for to go orders. Maybe coke at a non busy time and you’ll have a better experience. I’m in town all week and will not be back. Too many places will give me faster service and at least as good, if not better, food.

Orange Cranberry Club as well as the Potato Salad were pretty decent, not worth a 30 minute line containing only about 3 people. Sweet Tea isn’t anything better than anywhere else. Also the lobby was scattered with random unlabeled bottles, brooms and the like. It was clean however and for the most part had a nice quiet setting. Also a great patio spot outside to enjoy on days where the weather permits.

We have visited several locations in different states and have always been pleased —but the Jackson TN location left us disappointed. There was only one person in line in front of us and most people at tables already had their food so we were surprised for it to take 25 minutes to get our two meals. I had the choose 2 but they added $1.50 and gave me a full baked potato when I was told it was $9.99 for 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 potato. My blt and potato were good and my husband’s sandwich was good except his bread was ice cold. We might give this location another try on our next visit to Jackson.

Since they got a new manager it smells nice and orders are coming out fresh. Very polite workers. Try the Roast beef French dip it’s my favorite. Or a southwest salad and tortilla soup. They were out of spuds at 8:30pm. It’s a Thursday. Oh well still great service and food!

Waited 35 minutes for two sandwiches which were both cold when they came out and the tea wasn’t even sweet. The workers there acted like they were better than that job. Even while ordering the workers weren’t polite at all and if you asked for a refill they just kept walking past you and ignoring you. Experience was awful.

I ordered 2 for 10 and Oreo cheesecake. Good size proportions. Order was correct and ready on time. Wrap was amazing. Chicken tortilla soup was ok. Tasted like chicken flavored gravy with tiny bits of chicken and scallions. Oreo cheesecake was ok. Not great, not bad, just ok. Service was decent when picking up food. Would eat here again with different options.

I ordered the avocado salad. The picture on the menu showed a salad with half an avocado of thick slices over the top, I received a salad with three thin slices… Although the salad was tasty, with the name avocado salad, it was honestly just a salad.
