What a cute little spot! Our waitress was super nice and the food was awesome! The coffee was fresh and was delicious. The eggs Benedict had the best hollandaise sauce and the French toast was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. They served it with real maple syrup! Def will be back!

The wait staff was amazing. The Rose from Gunnison was very good & the bloody Mary was excellent. My Bison burger was great … but I don’t recommend the kale side salad. Our hero’s spinach omelet & hashbrowns were amazing. He ordered sausage gravy on the side and it was OK. The staff made this a 5 star experience ✨️

Hands down the best breakfast place in Crested Butte! Everything I have tried there has been outstanding! I have always had amazing service. The location downtown is perfect! I look forward to visiting MC Gills every time! Strongly recommend!

Amazing breakfast in CB. Our hungry family of four have enjoyed the full extent of the menu for decades. From Bloody Mary’s to biscuits and gravy, egg dishes and lunch. It’s all good and the service is spot on. Looking forward to our next visit.

What a terrible experience. I ended up spending $34 on a cheeseburger and a Dr Pepper. That’s outrageous! My girlfriend wasn’t hungry but I let her have some of my fries and they charged a $4 splitting fee. We had a party of six (and we were crammed into a 4 person table) and we were all charged a 20% tip. What’s annoying about that is that it was some of the worst service I had ever received but since they know they’re gonna force us to tip they can treat us however they want. The host was rude and aggressive, the service was awful, and the food was mid. Also don’t get a soft drink because they’re $5. I suggest you go elsewhere. Hard to believe what they’re doing with their hidden fees is legal. They charge an extra fee if you don’t pay cash. All in all for a simple meal I paid over $10 in fees. I’ve never seen another restaurant do something as shady as that before.

We love coming here! Diane is a wonderful server. Being in the service industry myself, I can see how hard she works to make sure customers are taken care of. Great eggs Benedict and cinnamon rolls. Thanks!

I’d like to preface this w/I LOVE this spot! But I work in customer service and this was the worst dining experience. My meal came out, burnt to a crisp, totally black. I politely sent it back and ordered some thing else. However, I then requested to the owner to have a discount for having to wait 40 more minutes for my meal, box it, & eat it at home. The owner came and asked what I wanted him to do since that supposedly that is normally how their Meal looks. He then told me I was just looking for a free meal, and I simply requested a discount so he gave me six dollars off. He was extremely rude & was clearly very put out. Had he handled the situation being apologetic & with some grace, I would’ve left feeling good about the situation – he certainly did not. My entire table was shocked at his attitude & unwillingness to make it right. Sadly, won’t go back.

Great breakfast, efficient service. Good food too. Seems to be the main breakfast place in CB, with good reason.

My sister and I had brunch there on a Friday. It was busy, but we were served quickly and attended to regularly. The soup was every bit as good as homemade, and the sandwich had fresh ingredients with a spot-on Chipotle aoli. The onion rings probably were frozen, but their sauce saved ’em. They baked cookies right in front of us, the little devils!

Have been eating at McGill’s at least once every trip to crested Butte for years. The best breakfasts in town.
