The portion is huge, it is supposed to come with a bowl of rice upon request. We try the Champion, Ocean and Crown. In addition, we also ordered the Karaage as well. The fried chicken has this crunchy batter on the outside and the chicken is juicy on the inside. Sort of reminds me of Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The noodles are chewy, the soft boiled egg is awesome. Upon seated we were given a paper menu and ice water quickly. Since it was our 1st time here, we ended up scanning the QR code on the table to view the menu on the phone which has pictures to better illustrate the items in the menu. Which makes ordering a lot easier especially for 1st timer. Parking can be very limited and tough during peak hours.

This place is good! I have previously only tried this style of noodle from Menya in Arcadia, and not sure if this is just a new style to enjoy ramen noodles. If you are a eggs Benedict lover, or someone that loves runny eggs, having this addition to a noodle bursting with flavor is delicious. I have visited twice, and have had a great experience with the friendly staff. The place is right across from Mt. Sac, it isn’t the biggest place so if you are looking for 8+ this wouldn’t be the spot. The place looks modern and clean.

I like their mazesoba. It was a really authentic maze sauce that I once had in Japan. I think the combination of basic mazesoba and karaage is the best When you have the noodle, it would be great together with their special vinegar!

I think I’m in love! I absolutely adore Q texture which mazesoba offers with their fat curly noodles and thick meat sauce. You must add vinegar though otherwise it’s hard to power to the bottom of the bowl. We weren’t prepared for this carb overload so didn’t ask for the extra complimentary rice that you can get to soak up the rest of the meat sauce but I’ll be better prepared next time! We ordered the supreme and champion bowls and I think I might slightly prefer the champion bc of the meat cut and extra egg. Service was also so sweet and attentive.

This is a good place to taste the soba noodles. The favor is delicious, and the price is affordable. I hope it has a little bigger portion for the noodles. Currently, it is enough for a girl, but as a man it is a little less than I need. They can provide a small bowl of rice for free after the noodles is finished. With that, it is enough for me. Unfortunately, they don’t provide the small bowl of rice for take out orders. I guess giving one small rice is a good idea if customers ask for it. Also, the servers are very friendly and responsive. That’s plus point.

Japanese noodle spot located across Mt. Sac. Came here for takeout on a Friday evening with my sister and ordered there. There’s indoor dining available (no outdoor options) and takeout available. They include instructions on how to microwave your noodles if you opt for takeout (very helpful) and also put the spices separately so you can mix them in yourself. The employees were very nice and friendly.

Brothless noodles but saucy. You have an option to make the classic noodles in to rice bowl. I got the curry spicy, and it was pretty hot. The noodles had a good thick texture and were quite heavy. You get complimentary rice to finish off your sauce, and they also recommend adding vinegar halfway through to change the flavor. It’s far from my home, so I don’t see myself coming out often, but if I am in the area, it will be one of my top choices. Food does take a bit, though.

If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, you should give them a try. They are known for the mazemen. Had their champion, takoyaki, and the edamame.

JAPAN (via Eat the World Los Angeles) – The thick and chewy noodles underneath all the chosen toppings will remind you of those used for tsukemen dipping ramen, and indeed these noodles are made of wheat flour and not buckwheat like most soba. The classic mazesoba ($12) is a good introduction to the restaurant and is available in either non-spicy or spicy versions. The poached egg is laid on top of a bed of ground pork right before serving, all to be mixed with the shredded seaweed, onions, and garlic.

Best chashu buns I’ve ever had My friend brought me here so I wasn’t sure what to expect from the noodles, especially since she “didn’t want ramen” that night lol but this was different, savory and delicious! I got the Saikoro Mezasoba (non-spicy). If you don’t like spicy, I highly recommend this one staff was also so nice, I was actually surprised by the service cause I don’t usually expect this level of attentiveness from smaller places that you get from full service restaurants. I’ll be back when I fly back to visit
