Had a super shredded chicken burrito with guac today for lunch, and it was delish and fairly priced. The spicy red sauce was indeed spicy. The chicken was nicely prepared and juicy. The rice was noticeably flavorful and fresh. The tortilla was good quality and toasted. Basically, they ticked all the boxes for a good burrito, and the price was fair. Friendly and efficient service also. I am glad I skipped breakfast because the burrito is hefty. I will be back.

The food is usually good from here, but I ordered a vegan burrito today and they gave me one with cheese on it. Apparently I have to check my food before eating a portion of it, yikes. As my body is not used to it anymore, consuming cheese made me feel lousy for the rest of the day. The order was promptly remade correctly and it was tasty but I’m not sure I will go back. If you’re not vegan I’d say check it out though

Just had the breakfast burrito ! Wow! It was so good. It was so large that I was able to chomp on it throughout the day. Of course I had to get their home made tortilla chips and a pineapple agua Fresca to wash it all down. The Monday morning shift lady is SO sweet and always smiles and makes me feel welcome . I am a repeat client. I HIGHLY recommend this place for delicious food. Nice job Maya staff!

I’m sad and disappointed. After reading all the great reviews, I was expecting some delicious food. The grilled chicken in my tacos was very dry. The tortillas were hard. Nothing else on them but onions and cilantro. Definitely not worth $12. I may come back and try something else. I would like to have a good experience. The customer service was good.

Their food is great. It’s stand at the window and order only. Almost like a taco truck . Sometimes you may have to remind them that your order is sitting on the counter. But no biggie staff are nice food makes up for anything else…

I used to go to a taco truck nearby and I’m pretty sure ownership has changed hands because the food is seriously lacking. I would pass by Maya’s all the time on my way home and never stop by, after finally trying it out I’m addicted. The regular steak tacos are so flavorful I have to comeback every so often

When I moved to Oakland from the Mission, I was prepared to miss the best tacos in the Bay Area. Instead I found Maya Halal and the food and service is incredible. Everything on the menu is delicious. The shrimp super tacos are my personal favorite. They do the classics right with excellent agua frescas, habenero and verde salsas, fresh made guac, and Birria Fridays! I have to stop myself from going more than once a week!
