Dined with my friend and sat at the front of restaurant. I appreciate the selection of wines, beers and cocktails as well as the 2 to 5 menu items under each course for appetizer, small dish, large plate, and dessert. Simplifies meal choices with plenty of drink options. We shared the house focaccia with soppresata and a seasonal jam; perfect combination. My friend enjoyed her baked salmon while I had the yakisoba with skirt steak. Very flavorful dish and the homemade noodles went well with the vegetables and meat. Finished our meal with a chocolate cake that we shared together. So rich and would go well with coffee or one of their aperitifs.

This was our second time eating here as a family in 2 months. It is delightfully casual in atmosphere, allowing for an unexpected surprise when the food is by far the best meal we’ve had in all of Burlington and the surrounding area. We’ve been to all the other “best ofs”many times and this is by far the best. We tried many of small plates which were all beautiful in presentation and there was not one we wouldn’t order again as their taste exceed their beauty!

We were excited to visit, having been recommending to it by foodies in the area. And the food did not disappoint! My vegetarian entree was great, loved the deviled egg snacks, although it was hard to locate the tomatoes inside the fried green tomato dish. Others in my party seemed happy with their food and the portions were generous. I would happily return, except for the insane level of sound in the restaurant. The servers were awesome, and managed to project their voices above the sound, as well as provide great service. Still, every time a table of diners left we all took a deep breath to appreciate the reduction in decibels. It’s a loss for the business – we would have stayed to order dessert, a digestivo, coffees… but were ready to rush out as soon as the last bite of dinner was done. I could see some panels on the ceiling – but it’s not enough – and I won’t be back, unfortunately.

Amazing staff! May Day has professional, kind, and super cool staff that will take care of your dining experience. The atmosphere was so friendly and refreshing! The cocktails were 10/10 delicious! The pork and greens were so flavorful. Highly recommend this place for a date or casual night out.

Had a fantastic dinner out with friends. Absolutely delicious meal with shareable plates and stand alone meals with very thoughtful flavor, composition, and presentation. The staff was exceptional and knowledgeable throughout. Great neighborhood ambiance. Fun and accessible cocktails & wine list with welcomed guidance. I don’t often write reviews but felt compelled to after such a lovely experience. Many thanks to the staff and proprietors. I hope to be back soon!

Great experience all around. Excellent cocktails and probably the best Brussel sprouts I’ve ever had. Friendly and knowledgeable staff also, it felt like everyone we interacted with truly enjoys working there which made our night that much better. Highly recommend!

The yakisoba noodles with pork belly are out of this world. We also ordered the brussel sprouts and the fried feta cheese and they were amazing too. Being too picky the menu is very limited but their offering is another level.
