I have been going here for years it’s just so good. Fresh cut fries, gyros plate is like 2 or 3 meals worth make sure to order an extra pita or 2 as well. Support a small busy and enjoy good food. Hot dogs come with fries around $8 and gyro plate with fries $15.

As I am new to this area, finding Maxwell’s Beef close to home was awesome! I know they’ve been around for some time but I just got here a year ago. The burgers are the best I’ve eaten since I’ve got to Illinois! I also like a few other items but the burgers are the best!

I’m rating just based off of the gyro I had today. The meat was full of gristle and the cucumber sauce was nowhere near as good as it could be – it’s a key ingredient and how much laziness does it take to make such a bland weak sauce? You could google a better recipe in 5 seconds. Anyway, it was such a bad gyro ,and gyros are hard to screw up so congrats, that I have no confidence in going back for anything else if this is their standard. Also, the guy at the counter could have not seemed ticked off and that would’ve been something.

The food was amazing great portions of fries ane free refills but had an issue with what I assumed was the manager or owner I had ordered my food and I had to check my receipt because he didn’t hear me order my actual food so I had to order again. I know that it’s because he didn’t hear me because as I waited for for my food I heard him tell another customer to speak up. Him trying to put the blame on me for “not ordering my food” and not taking accountability for him just not being able to hear is my issue only along with the fact that the table against the mirror is falling apart.

Wow! The reviews are correct. What an amazing location. The fries are wonderful. I had also been wanting a BLT for a couple of weeks and this one had 8 slices of bacon on wonderful Texas toast.

I highly recommend this place. Omg the maxwell polish, my kids ate a triple cheeseburger and ate everything. Both were so huge and so filling. Fresh cut fries. Living in Wisconsin we don’t have good food like this. Thank you for the great service.

122221 Love their fried chicken sandwich (big and never dry) I always get their great fries too, and it will run you about $11 without a drink. It’s worth it, in my opinion.

Best food, amazing owners. We moved out of state and this was one of the must visit places on a visit home. Owner recognized some old regulars 6 years later. Prices are more than reasonable for quality ingredients.

Owner is a great guy. Gave our 7 year old a free medium lemon Italian ice. Had a great chat with him about the restaurant industry as well. Good beef sandwich, amazing Italian ice, homemade too.
