I was fortunate to be with Anna for my initial visit. This is the best Jamaican food in the south suburbs. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. The portions are HUGE. I have had many of the dishes on the menu and have enjoyed every one of them. The sauces are Jamaican hot. I love the plantains yams and cabbage. Pleasant people like Anna and Chance. They easily earned my rare 5 stars. I’m a regular now. ***Still the best jerk in the south.

This is not your ordinary eatery. Portions are huge. Food is amazing and clearly the owner takes great pride in his product. My first visit and told the gentleman that I will be back if the food was good. He stated oh you will be back and he was correct. I live over an hour from this gem and will be returning just to order again from this establishment. The food and portions are that good. These types of restaurants are rare nowadays and I hope that they are around for a long time. I highly recommend this establishment.

We tried the Jerk wings special. They were delicious. Jerk white w/yams and cabbage. The dinners come with rice/beans. We tried the Jerk Salmon dinner. The yams were delicious. The salmon and cabbage needs some salt/seasoning.

Today was my third time visiting..I drive from Milwaukee just to eat here. I haven’t been in a while and the lady that made my food the first two times was not there. I had turkey tips the first time and the second time I had her dinner literally lol she had just made fish so I purchased hers! Today I had the Samon dinner. The fish was extremly burnt on the scaling area..I just scraped it off no biggie BUT the yams were so soft and dark in color that I felt like they were from a can. Just mushy and not good. The cabbage mac and red beans and rice was good BUT you can tell that it was not cooked by the Queen. The taste was just off. That being said only way I’m eating here again is if the QUEEN makes my food.

I’m in Hazel Crest for a couple weeks and I eat out twice a day every place I go. I tried all the places nearby and tried this place yesterday. Without question the best food I’ve had in a long time. I had the rib tips and they were fantastic. My sides were Mac and cheese and beans and rice. There was so much food I had to split it into two meals. Well definitely eat there one more time before I leave.

The first time food was OK, but not really. BBQ or Jerk ribs were meaty but not smoked , so BBQ taste wasn’t there. Portions were great for the price. Sides were also good.

Didn’t expect it to taste as good as it did. In neighborhood and took a chance. Yesterday I was their last customer for day closing early for party but I still got hot fresh otg meat(jerk chicken). My tongue is so grateful. And I will follow it there once again in hopes for that same bite of surprise.
