Took a shot with a small town restaurant and was not impressed. Drinks are not good and you are limited on refills (tea was basically water with a tiny bit of tea – you couly literally see through it like a glass of water, coke was flat). Burgers and sandwiches are overpriced as are the sides. Wait staff was lacking severely. Not to mention an added charge to use your card, this needs to be disclosed up front!!

Food was pretty good my French toast wasn’t cooked enough for me but everything else we ordered was great.

Good blue plate. I had the catfish and it was hot and fresh. I am picky about coleslaw but there’s was really good. Friendly service.

Very delicious food. Each Sundays hot bar seems like a Thanksgiving meal. I’ve never had a bad experience Nor bad food here. The Best cakes I’ve ever tasted too.

I’ve been eating at Mava’s for years, but lately the service has fallen off due to good help, which is no fault of the waitress’s, but the conduct of a new supposedly supervisor/manager towards a waitress (Brekka, unknown last name) that I witnessed this morning was totally unprofessional and unacceptable. While Brekka was working to get things done, this new mgr. stood by taking notes, doing nothing. I heard her ragging on the waitress, but the mgr was told she could not get done because there were no items such as salt and syrup. I was setting there when the mgr came out and slammed down a tiny bit of salt needed and told Brekka to deal with the small amount handed her and belittleing her in front of everyone, while she did nothing to help. The next thing I knew, Brekka was walking out the door. I would have done the same thing if I were her. She was one of the best waitresses I’ve seen there and this new manager needs to go if she is not professional enough to do her job and help when needed. If she was a good manager, she should have done inventory to see those items were needed and to have them on hand instead of blaming someone else. I will not be friendly to her if I see her treat others the way she did Brekka. I think the owner owes Brekka an opology for the way she was treated and the new manager needs to go and replaced with someone who has better manners. Very disappointed! However, the food is great and I will continue to go there, but I will not stay quiet the next time I see this happening to anyone.

We had Mava’s burgers, Chilli cheese fries, and onion rings. The food was very good and the portion size were big. It definitely made you feel like you got your money’s worth. My granddaughter had a slice of peanut butter cake, she loved it so much we took another slice to go. We’ll be back.

We appreciated the feel of home cooked food near the end of a long road trip. A bit off the Highway but we’d rather stop at the local diner than a big chain anyway. Building is small and run down, but the food was excellent and all the folks were very friendly. Wish we’d had room for the delicious looking cake!

Great place to eat but I just have one problem. You may or may not have good service. Last time we ate there the service was subpar. If you can look over that they have good food. Best bet would be to get your food to go.

Just a comfortable and good friendly atmosphere and food like you would make at home, southern style of course.
