Everyone’s heard of cat in the hat, but more people should know about Matt’s in the Market. If you’re still deciding where to dine for lunch/dinner and Matt’s is in your consideration set, just go to Matt’s. The food has always been fresh, tasty, and filling. Their seafood is top notch and rest assured, they have yummy non-seafood options for your friends who prefer land protein. I’ve had the salads, seafood stew, salmon, steak, and lamb burger. All were certified hitters. Oh, and their bread pudding with vanilla ice cream is godly. Highly recommend you finish your meal with that. Don’t deprive yourself of it.

This was by far one of my favorite restaurants on my visit to Seattle. The fishwich was the most amazing fish sandwich I’ve ever had in my life! I got the curry cauliflower soup for my side which was amazing as well. The deviled eggs appetizer was super delicious and great if you like a variety as each egg has a different topping. The cocktails were great as well! I will definitely return on my next visit!

Recommended by a friend and so grateful! Went here during the weekend (busy and lively) they accept walk-ins, but you would secure a tablet by reserving one ahead of time. CUTE and delicious the view of the market is unbeatable and the food is fresh and generous portions! You can substitute anything out and the service is impeccable! Difficult to find, but totally worth the confusion!

A fantastic place! You get a really great vibe, down-to-earth, friendly, yet tasteful and classy. The Blue Pool oysters are just ideal, on the briny side. Octopus (from Alaska) was perfectly cooked. The bartender was really outstanding and friendly. Not a cheap place, but we’ll worth the visit!

Feels like a special hideaway in plain sight. One of the pricier options near at the market but amazing and well worth it. $23 for the fish sandwich but it’s high quality halibut which isn’t cheap and very delicious. I did the cup of seafood chowder for $4 extra and had a beautiful glass of gruner veltliner. Dining solo I ate at the bar, bartender was great. Was able to get seated right away for lunch on Saturday but I got there at 1:30pm so maybe at the end of the rush but a beautiful Saturday nonetheless! Beautiful space, loved the open kitchen and the warmth of the space. Very much enjoyed my experience.

Matt’s is a great location for lunch and definitely a place to get away from the heat and the crowds. The fishwich is a good option or the clams and mussels dish is a good sharing. The views from the second floor is amazing.

We got the Fishwich, Falafel, and Chowder. All were delicious and the prices were reasonable! Although we arrived just before their lunch orders closed at 2:25ish, we got great service and food!!!

A delightful spot when you’re visiting the Market in Seattle! Our server was very sweet and attentive and gave great suggestions. A very solid Bloody Mary and good wine selection. We got one questionable oyster in our half dozen, but the others were very good! I ordered the salmon, which was beyond incredible! Possibly the best salmon I have ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. My husband ordered the lamb burger. All of the adds to the burger (the shallot jam, goat cheese, etc.) were delicious. The burger itself was overcooked, but still very good. We would absolutely stop here again when visiting Seattle!

Great location and great food. Must try the seafood chowder. The flight of deviled eggs were delicious. We tried the special which was a smoked salmon burger. We also tried the lamb burger. Both were fantastic. Great views of the Pike Market. Looking to return to try the pork banh mi.

Solid dinner at Matt’s. Service was friendly and efficient too. A fun setting upstairs, half a block from the market. The space is up two flights of stairs .
