The venue is really great with all sorts of lawn games and picnic tables. Sadly the food was really mediocre. The brisket was dry and overly salty. Mac and cheese tasted like it came from a box and collard greens were meh. My fish taco was paltry (wish I had gotten a sad photo). There aren’t too many dining options on this side of the island however.

We enjoyed our time at Matthew’s Smokehouse! The staff was super nice and the service was great! We tried the pulled pork and the brisket. The pulled pork was ok, but the brisket was superb! Combine that with their delicious Kansas City BBQ sauce and it’s a real winner!

My family and I absolutely loved Matthew’s Smokehouse! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pulled pork and fried chicken! The atmosphere was amazing! My husband and I relaxed and enjoyed a drink while our kids played ping pong, axe throwing, and cornhole. Such a great experience, we’ll definitely be back! Dog friendly too!

Great atmosphere. Helpful staff. Beatiful view from the deck. Unfortunately, I contracted food poisoning from the pulled pork. We arrived shortly before closing, and the pulled pork was lukewarm when it arrived.

Best barbeque around. Brisket portion was the largest I’ve had at any joint. The mac and cheese was delicious and the loaded fries were a meal in them selves. Only thing that I would have liked was some salt and pepper for my potato salad.

Great place to eat while visiting Deer Harbor. We ordered the brisket and pulled pork meals. Our sides were potato salad, Mac, and slaw. Everything was delicious, but the slaw was a bit too vinegar-ish for our tastes. Service was super fast, had our food within 10 minutes. We will be back.
