Was next to our hotel and we prefer non franchise restaurants so checked it out. Service was friendly but a little slow but they were short staffed it appeared. Just two people working to serve drinks and beer. Outdoor entertainment was a bonus by a lovely singer who played acoustic guitar. We had the Matterhorn burgers plus sides of German potato salad and sweet potato fries. The burgers are served on a pretzel bun and we’re a nice size! I couldn’t even finish mine. They also have a theater there but we were just passing through on our way home. I would have liked to try the buffalo burger or elk burger. Nice selection of choices!

Really cute little German dinner place right off the highway. Simple selection, nicely decorated interior and yummy food! We were the only ones in the bar / restaurant area around 5pm. Apparently there is a movie theater of some kind attached.

This is a lovely place to eat. They have a large selection of beer, and a full bar. They have a menu with a variety of German dishes, and different meat options. My brother and I ordered a pretzel for our appetizers. Our friend ordered the loaded bacon beer cheese fries for his. I ordered the Elk burger, my brother got the Reuben. The burger was perfectly cooked and juicy. The sweet potato waffle fries were done nicely as well. Amy, our server was very attentive and stayed on top of it. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to try german food.

DISAPPOINTING. Sandwich meat was dry. a portion of the potatoes in the potatoes salad were not cooked all the way…. rather crunchy. The pretzel bun was good. I was so hungry I just ate it. I was concerned if never eat if I sent it back. Ordered a water, saw a bunch of other people get their drinks first that came in after me. Got my food, then my drink. She forgot and apologized. The two ladies working there seemed extremely overwhelmed and it’s not a large place. Maybe more help and a different cook would help bunches. Are here because I was going to the show next door(didn’t want chicken but German food option)

We loved their pretzels! The bratwursts are okay, they were a bit plain to our taste. Schnitzel was good. Old fashioned was top notch! As well as a chocolate lava cake (make sure to leave some space for that!

Best selection of German beer, laid back atmosphere, more expensive than it used to be (yet I know food costs, alcohol cost, etc have sky rocket so it’s understanable). It’s always fun but On nights they have live music it’s a good time.

Had the schnitzel and it was over fried and the mushrooms and onions looks like someone got sick on it. Not authentic at all and I am german! Beer and service was good!

Had high hopes with the reviews. Food wasn’t flavorful… I had the strip and my mother had the ribeye. Neither has much flavor… the fries were better than the steak which is sad. The set up is weird to get into the restaurant side. The door was left open making it very hot inside. The staff was nice… the server was nice but extremely slow. Took over 5 minutes to get our drinks then another 20 for food which okay we understand but then we sat there for 15-20 mins after finishing to get our check. Server had no pep in her step. It could be set up so cute with the way the building is but it was just confusing.

Food was good—but the German chocolate cake was incredible!! Just like my mom used to make. Made it worth the stop.
