I’ve been going here since they opened and it has always been amazing! Moved out of CT (best move ever) and heard they retired and had someone new running the place into the ground, sorry to hear that but recently heard Dennis was back – WOOHOO!!! Great Italian food!! Hot or cold, take-out dinners, sandwiches, grinders, all types of salads & etc. They also offer catering for your special event. Their eggplant parm dinner is awesome, along with their homemade meat lasagna dinner & the sauce is fabulous; our family loves Mattei’s. It’s the Go-To stop for a great dinner to take home & enjoy. My friend’s mom’s boyfriend brought this to the beach. The eggplant was UNBELIEVABLE. We also had the chicken parm and ravioli, which were also great. But you have to get the eggplant. Thank you, Grace!

This place is wonderful. It’s very tiny inside but we’ve only ever ordered their catering so it’s never been an issue. My family is obsessed with their eggplant parm! We order it for everyone’s birthday celebrations. Highly highly recommend!
