This was a fantastic Japanese restaurant. With a digital menu and a very fast staff you feel like the place is reading your mind. Besides the restroom being a little warmer than I would like, this was a great place for fast food speed but with high-end restaurant quality. 9 out of 10 would come again

Food was delicious. Not many vegetarian/vegan options. We tried several different dishes and made some modifications which were gladly done for us. We got full and happy after a big meal. Really enjoyed the Japanese soft drinks.

Really wanted to like it. Finally visited for lunch today. We order a variety of items and even had sake bombs. The yellowtail hand roll didn’t have much flavor. I made the miso ramen spicy, but it seemed to just make it very oily with a hint of spice. The poke was okay. Visited 7/2023.

I’ve been excited to try Matsuri. I haven’t been to this location since it was La Boca. Matsuri did an awesome job with the decor and overall vibe, even including the restroom which was clean too. A fun mini Tokyo inside. There is a nice outside seating patio on Mill Ave and plenty of indoor seating too. I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and helpful. She explained the ordering is via a QR code and on your phone. You’ll submit the order for food or drinks there and also pay when you decide to close the bill. I didn’t get any drinks this time but ordered a few items from the menu. There’s a good selection of alcohol including Japanese whiskey if you want. The owner was also available and we briefly chatted. I ordered Spicy Shoyu ramen, Karaage chicken, and seaweed salad. The portions were pleasantly bigger than I was expecting so I was in for a feast. The Karaage and ramen used chicken thigh, which is my favorite. It was crispy, fresh and served with a luscious spicy mayo to dip. The seaweed salad was a pleasant surprise of the typical seaweed but with a refreshing salad of some greens, cherry tomatoes and radish. The ramen broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. I got the option with chicken and it was juicy and delicious. Overall I loved the place and will definitely return with friends!

I came with another person and we thought the food was delicious. The best ramen, udon, gyoza, toriten-chicken and karaage I had in Arizona. The old fashioned and ramune was also delicious. Everything was warm and pleasant to eat.

I enjoyed the ramen I had. It was tasty. I was disappointed that they did not have more bok choy in the bowl. I felt like two pieces is not adequate, especially when vegetables are not expensive. You order on your phone so the servers come to bring you your food but do not check on you. When ordering it took a long scroll to pass all the alcoholic beverages before getting to the food. It is more costly than I would have liked. I do not like that it forces me to put in an email to process a payment.

I tried this place a few weeks ago and it’s alright. Most of the food was fine, nothing was a stand out. The chicken karrage is what I’d most recommend. I tried the sashimi (raw and seared salmon) and it was bad. Possibly the worse I’ve had, the texture was so strange as if it was thrown in a freezer and then defrosted in a microwave. I wouldn’t say the flavors of the food were super authentic either. The restaurant itself is very cute and has a nice atmosphere. Everything is mostly self-service as they have a little station for water, utensils, extra plates etc. The ordering and paying for your check is all done electronically too. Overall it was okay, but I much rather spend my money elsewhere.

My coworkers and I decided to check this place out for a birthday lunch and long story short, I’m glad we did. Other people were saying that it was hot inside and that their AC wasn’t working but I personally didn’t feel like it was that uncomfortable in there. We were there 1-2:30 in August so it was pretty hot out (and kind of humid).

The restaurant has a decent demand, we went because we saw it on TikTok and I assume a lot of other people have seen it on social media. We waited approximately 15-20 mins to be seated. As soon as you enter there is a wait-list to sign in , the estimated wait time on the screen seems accurate.

I really tried loving it! It was okay, not worth the hype in my personal opinion. Service was lovely though 🙂 don’t think I will be back . Got the matsuri miso ramen, chicken karaage, the match ice cream(couldn’t take the matcha) and the fruit sando
