Every single time I am visiting the in laws in Freehold I suggest food from Mateo’s. Their pizzas are delicious, their upside is beyond legit, and their vodka sauce is outstanding. My wife and mother in law love their arugula avocado salad (wife adds grilled chicken and mother in law adds salmon). Their pepperoni garlic knots, and regular knots, are usually on point and their Buffalo chicken panini is great as well. To top it all off, the employees are always so pleasant and the vibe inside is always great. If you are gonna eat in, it is byo so go and enjoy!

I gave this place two chances, and hated it every single time. First time, my whole bottom of the pie was burnt. Second time, all the toppings on the pizza slid off the slice as I was trying to take it out of the box. This place does not compare to all the better pizzerias in town. Don’t waste your money.

Worst pizza! I’ve watched the cook touch money, his nose and then touches the Pizza. I’ve noticed cockroaches in the bathroom and in the kitchen area. Last time I ate there the food tasted old and I got sick from it. Please stay away from this restaurant.
