The flavors are definitely very authentic! We loved the BBQ fish, the tofu tin foil dish, and the skewers. The skewers were very flavorful and tender, not overcooked and hard like some of the ones I’ve had elsewhere. Definitely give this place a try if you’re looking for authentic Chinese BBQ! They did accidentally charge us for an item we never ordered or got but we were able to get that settled at the end.

I had the spicy chicken and lamb kabobs, my date had the pork belly and rice. Easily the best food I’ve had in a long time in Utah. Phenomenal seasoning on the lamb kabobs and the spicy chicken is with those tiny dried peppers. I had a nostalgic moment here so safe to say I’ll be back with more people!!

I always thought Utah lacked some authentic Chinese food, but man, Matchstick Bar and Grill is straight from mainland China. They use fresh ingredients, and what more can I say about their special seasonings? They make their own seasoning with spices from China, and my family was very satisfied with the meal! Trust me, you won’t regret it!

Great place and great food! I wish people knew about this place more because it deserves all the love. Their tin foil tofu and rub for the skewers were delicious. I recommend getting a lot of pork belly and gizzards if you’re getting skewers.

She is one of my favorite chefs and a very likable lady. I’m in love and she knows it but she’s married. They and their likable staff have even brought me special things she is creating for the menu.
