First time having this pizza it was really good! We got the largest you could pepperoni pizza x sauce, cheese, and banana peppers. A medium (14 or 16″) BBQ pizza and it was about 40 some dollars. Very tasty we will be back

We were on our way to Byron for a fireworks display. Decided to try Matador instead of going out of our way. Toppings are generous and of high quality (real bacon, fresh mushrooms). Plenty of tangy sauce. Crust is crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, like an old school pizzaria. Great dough recipe. It is an amazing treat both hot/fresh and cold for breakfast.

I came across Matador pizza while out on a long distance bike ride. It’s about a 20 minute drive from my house, but I am ALWAYS in search of good pizza. I read the previous reviews and it sounded like a solid, family owned pizza place. When I called to place my order I let them know I had never ordered from them. Their team member was very helpful talking me through their menu options. I got there a little early, but my pizza was out on time, and it appeared to be a pretty busy evening for them. They were very courteous at the counter and I appreciate that the staff was wearing hair nets and the kitchen looked very clean. Thank you for that!!! I got my pizza, the Matador, and headed home. The pizza looked and tasted great!! If I compare the cost, which some reviewers have, it is slightly more than what I might pay at a chain restaurant. But for me, it was well worth it! I love supporting local businesses and frankly, the team was awesome and the pizza was too!!! I will be going back for their deep dish soon!!!
