What’s located in the Heights, is delicious, and super cozy? Well, that probably describes plenty of places, but I’m talking about the restaurant, Mastrantos!

Drinks were not good – my drink had a piece of plastic in it, was not offered a replacement or refund. The second drink I ordered was the Smokey marg, it was vile – the waiter said “it’s for an acquired taste” which is pretty rude and not great customer service. Food eventually arrived, my plate was chipped and my dish was mediocre. Sad because we’d been excited to try this spot. It’s dark, and loud. Not great for date night.

Excellent experience… The place is elegant, great music, food is incredible and the staff makes the biggest difference. The chef and bartender were incredible!

I did the dining in the dark experience and it was fabulous! I had the seafood meal and everything was delicious. The bar tenders Emily and Pablo were very friendly and helpful. All of the staff members were professional and courteous. The atmosphere of Mastrantos is quite pleasant, with Latin music playing and warm lighting throughout. The design and decor was modern with a calming ambiance. I’d love to go back for a regular dinner service!

First off, the service was top notch. Attentive, knowledgeable and prompt. Food…uneven. Had the cucumber cooler cocktail which was unbalanced and a weird combo of cucumber and spicy. Salad of carrots on carrots had good flavor but the roasted carrots were underdone and difficult to cut or chew. Pesto Gnocchi dish had too much going on and again the cauliflower and broccolini were underdone and hard to chew. Strange texture combo with soft and well made gnocchi. Butchers cut perfectly cooked and seasoned on a very pale and bland bed of yucca. Restaurant has a nice neighborhood vibe but loud and hard to hear. Would love to see this place improve.

Mastrantos is a must! We have become regulars because we love this place so much. The food is absolutely delicious with fresh and high quality ingredients, the menu is eclectic and international, the atmosphere is vibrant and trendy and the staff could not be nicer! Our server Jamila is the sweetest, she always remembers us and what we like and makes great recommendations!

Great ambiance, energetic. The menu is short however contains a bit of everything. Also very creative cocktails options made with wine and/or sake. the baked burrata was great with lots of greens. parking was really difficult.

A delightful dinner! The food was incredibly delicious. While the restaurant does offer meat dishes, we opted for all vegetarian items and we were beyond impressed. Everything was full of flavor, perfect textures and scrumptious. Our waitress explained different nuances about our dishes, how the pickled onions would combine with curry spice and unique deviations from typical ways the dishes are made. We loved her! We arrived early without a reservation but if you’re going to go during peak hours, you might have a wait. If so, it’s worth the wait! I’ll definitely be recommending this place and can’t wait to go baaaaaaack!
