My compliments to the chef and restaurant owner for creating authentic Japanese cuisine with decent sized portions and keeping the price point reasonable. The dishes have those little creative flourishes that let you know you’re eating real Japanese food instead of an imitation. The sashimi was very fresh, as it needs to be when you are eating raw fish and shellfish. The udon noodles were perfectly cooked and they give you quite a bit. Overall I highly recommend this place. The restaurant is quite tiny and easy to miss, but the food is exceptional. Much better than most of the Japanese restaurants in South Florida.

Fantastic spot! This is easily the best sushi I’ve had in South Florida. The uni from Hokkaido is superb, I had to order it again after the first course. The waiter was attentive, polite, and prompt. I will be coming back for more. If you love sushi and live in south Florida, Masamune is a must try.

Second time in. Highlights are diverse menu, pleasant staff, and quality fish. Ordered large range of items from raw, kitchen, and daily special menu. Favorite so far was the uni pasta followed closely by their sashimi platter. Will be back for omakase with friends soon.

I went to this location for the first time after finding them on Instagram by accident. The owner of the Instagram is so amazing, and they even liked a few of the photos I posted of the location the first time I went. Which leads me TO the first time I went. I arrived having no idea what to really expect except Japanese food, and I WAS NOT disappointed. The servers are all SO friendly, the food is presented in SUCH an appealing and beautiful way, and the cherry on top? The prices are AMAZING, especially for the portion sizes they serve. I have been here MULTIPLE times since I found this location, and although it is easy to miss amongst the busy street of Federal, it is 100% worth stopping at. I HIGHLY suggest stopping in for some GOOD food, pleasant vibes, and overall worthwhile eating experience!! Thank you for making every trip here worth it, Masamune!

Great Sushi quality and presentation, i could give 5 ⭐️ however when we arrived the waiter didn’t mention they only had 1 chef on a Sunday Night, people complained about the waiting time.. in our case (table of 4) we dine in almost 2 hrs.

Wonderful and authentic food, service and atmosphere! We have tried several sushi spots in the area and this was our favorite. The atmosphere is pretty and the food came put quick.

This review is just in regards to the omakase. The omakase in terms of food taste/quality/value is one of the best in South Florida/arguably one of the best I had in the States and consisted of about 21 dishes. It requires a week ahead reservation so the chef can order the ingredients. The food is about as close as you can get to food in Japan down to the freshly grated wasabi root. However, omakase is suppose to be an experience to show the chef’s skill. The chef most of the time is hidden behind the sushi stand and a large styrofoam box or running back to the kitchen which took away from the premium omakase experience. Would definitely come back to try their other food item but just not the Omekase experience at this point.
