Great hidden gem. If you don’t pay attention, you’ll easily pass by this place. Be sure to make a stop, though. They have very good authentic Bangladeshi / Indian food for take out or dine in and also sell very reasonable priced meats, curries, herbs, and other groceries.

Hidden gem in Columbia. Tucked in the back of the desi bazaar is a food counter that serves some delicious food! The family run shop made some great butter chicken (comes with naan), one of the best samosas I’ve ever had, and some other tasty sweets. The baklava wasn’t the freshest, but the homemade jalebi and laddoo desserts were fun! Also, Friday through Sunday they have a small buffet where you can pay by weight for some house specialty dishes. The whole store smelled amazing! While you have a short wait for the non-buffet food, it gives you a good opportunity to shop for items that a normal Giant or Safeway don’t carry. Reasonable prices all around. Will be back!

Super friendly staff and delicious food! Especially the masala and samosa. They have a fairly large menu for take out or buffet. They have a very nice seating area if you want to eat it inside or a picnic table outside. It’s very tucked away but we will be back! Nice clean well stocked grocery as well

I’ve been coming here for last 4 years and can’t say enough good things about this place. If you ever look for authentic Bengali sweets, this is the place you should come to. All the other snacks and food items are very unique and will give you definitely a flavor of India, Bangladesh or Pakistan. My top favorite things here are – chicken patties (almost reminds me of Delhi’s Nathus or Kolkata’s Monginis), rasogolla (such soft and spongy mouthwatering rasogollas) and masala chai ( almost like dudh patti types that you get in north India). And if I don’t mention Azad Bhai and Mona di ‘s hospitality, it won’t be fair to them. They’re so courteous, hardworking (only shop that’s open almost every single day), grounded and humble people – will always greet you with a smile on their face.

Great hidden gem, definitely try to make a trip, best potato samosa I have had in the area. They also carry frozen bombay duck ( 20 years of search finally over) The owner is very kind, hospitable , love getting food that is served with smile and kind words. Place is not sit in , so plan for to go.

If you are looking for a gem, a place to go to for not only your groceries (produce and meat) but also customized tasty food, this is the place to be. Clean, hygienic and priced well. I love going there. Absolutely great people.

Nice and very clean place for groceries only. The restaurant seating area is probably still under development phase. So take out should be a better option.

I came here a while ago to have a look at their halal meats, but I came back when I saw that they had a counter to order food. If you’re looking for a hidden gem, this is it. I ordered the beef Tehari, as was recommended by the owner, and also the chicken Masada, because I’m basic and I love it. Everything was so delicious and fragrant, it made me sad that I only ordered two dishes to try.

Food is phenomenal. Indian and Arabic food. The Korma was heavier on the Greasy side but not overly so. Hot Chai tea while u wait. 🙂 answered all my questions about the different dishes.
